Od school hemp field discovered.

So im fishing my local river, catching smallies and skeeter bites is par for the course throughout the day then i smell the lovely fragrance of females in flower! Normally, i would assume a garden and say namaste, but this was in the middle of a farm pasture and the smell overwhelmed the girls(the cows for you city slickers) shit smell so i was impressed and shocked! Turns out there's a massive hemp patch that has been growing there for "hundred's of years" according to the farmer who asked me what i was doing lmao. My question is this.......Is there any way to use the genetics from these plants to create a cannabis strain that would benefit from the hundreds of years of growing(i mean thsee female hemp plants were gorgeous)or am i in a "pipe dream". Last thing i wanna do is ruin decent cannabis by adding hemp to it that has little or no thc. Would it take many many moons to produce a decent starin or is it even possible?

Of course you could pinch a piece of and consume it, that might tell you something OR you could look at the cows....if their eyes are red, well that might tell you something too.

hell ask the farmer for some... I would.. I aint buying his story tho.. neck time pee test him.. lol

the farmer dumps all there shat there where the patch is growing. As for the heifers they def love the plants because they,ve been fenced away from it now! Just wanted to see if there were any viablilty to bringing it inside and trying to create a strain for myself.

Vermont and N. Dakota have have laws regarding licenses to grow industrial hemp but federally this is still a no-no

Yes,wild hemp can be crossed on other strains and in many ways it is preferable to crossing those other strains with ruderalis. Bigger plants,more production,good thc content,and resistance to native pests,fungus,and diseases.You should get you some if ya can.If it is wild hemp,it should have the longer,thinner looking sativa type leaves.If they look to be indica type leaves,it's the farmers grow more than likely.

Let me give ya the exact layout.....it's along the riverbed technically on the farmers pasture and its sweet that you guys have a sincere interest because some of the "local" oldschoolers were like thats shit dont bother obviously they be ignant lmao! That being said there is also an area near the same river where male hemp plants have been seen over 15 feet tall. let me find out ive found a little genetic goldmine!

Funny you'd mention it might be his......i seriously doubt this particular gent was the owner but maybe a relative? You can tell its wild though by the way its sporadic along the bank and overwhelmingly innundated with seed!

First of all, your opinion is accepted, secondly mother nature presents and i'll gladly accept sorry to upset you but to be honest I DONT CARE! Hemp belongs to all of us! Not my fault we dont see eye to eye. Foothills it was max 5 foot bushy female's with tons and tons of pollenation going on. Other than that, Just a positive end to a long day fishing!

LMFAO.......you guys are funny......hemp has been growing wild in various places in the U.S. since the founding of the country. It's all over the place by RR tracks in the mid-west. Go ahead and waste your time messing with it if you want to, but trust me....it has almost zero THC and is of NO value in the Cannabis market at all, for breeding either.it will do is hermie and grow huge, even if you cross it. Problem is, in most places where it grows wild, it is illegak and carries the same charge as regular weed. Good luck with that!!
