Oakten Ph Meter help

Hey guys,

Im just starting my second grow and picked up an oakten ph meter as I didn't have a ph meter first grow and my plants suffered. I don't understand if I have to calibrate it or if it should be fine as is.

I ph'd my tap water that I was using all last grow and it showed 8.0 ph which is really high. I'm wondering if it could be misreading due to not calibrating or if this is accurate. Thanks alot.

That's about what my tapwater is so it is probably reading correct. They do require calibration every once in a while, you will know when it does if you are ph'ing everything as it will be the same to adjust your water/nutes all the time. If you start noticing your readings being out to lunch then calibrate it.
