I was curious if anyone has ever used the inline booster fans at home depot, they had two available....250cfm, and 500cfm. I was thinking of purchasing a few of the 500cfm at only $28.95ea. The free-air cfm is actually about 200 or so if not "boosting" an already circulating air source. At the very least they should do a good job cycling cool air in from outside, thru the lights, and then back out again. I'm going to wire them to a thermostat with a remote probe. When the lights are on and kicking out heat the probe will detect this and kick the fans on. Should save a bit considering they wont have to run 24/7. I'll probably place the probe inside one of the 1000w reflector hoods.
Not too sure about one of these things in any other ventilation work, like pulling thru a carbon scrubber.....
Experiences?
