Hi I'm a new grower from NY. I began germinating some Arie seeds that I got from a pretty decent half. So far one has broken ground after a day in the humidity dome. I'm using 9oz plastic cups and nutrient-free seed starter, will be transplanting most likely to 2gal containers and using Peter and Helena's potting soil w/ earth worm castings. I have been experimenting to learn as much as possible in my first grow. Tried the paper towel germ method with and without ziploc bag, cup of water one, tried a combination of the two, tried straight soil... So far I believe the cup of water method alone has worked best for me. I recently ordered seeds from the attitude seed bank, they should be arriving soon... 10x Nirvana B52, 10x White Label white skunk and should be getting 5x G13 Labs power skunk seeds + 1x G13 Labs white widow fem. I'm planning on getting a 400w HPS/MH switchable grow light and am wondering if MH is suitable for starting seeds/cloning or if its really that much better to use florescent for that task?
