nutrients

ive been looking at some threads and i saw a few post that say to use canna and i went to the site and it is very confused i was wondering if i can use this in soil aloso i was wondering what i would need to order

i also am going to start using a dwc hydro system soon so if i cant use this in soil i still would like to know what i need

canna offers several lines, one for soil, coco, hydro and lately also a bio/organic line. to much choice can be troubling too;)
try hesi, the have a better feeding plan and got more on the record as canna, also used to be a buck cheaper but saving on nutes is a bad habit;) i been growing with both but spend more time using hesi hydro as well as soil nutes. the stuff is worth the buck.

well the stuff on the page sounds a bit like that stuff is time released, also it isn't really specifically made for growing weed and if you new to growing nutes are one of the last things to mess around with, so i would say it isn't a choice in this case, sorry;)

thats a loaded question there!, everyone will tell you in some kinda way that theres is the best, i use fox farm grow big,big blomm, and tiger bloom in my dwc grows, in my soil grows i use pure blend pro veg and bloom with a little earth juice in the end. but either can be used in soil or hydro, that just what i am in a habit of doing.

also do they not offer a got veg nute since you should use for this task something in the 30-10-15 range to gain perfect plants.... at least i could find something for the task quickly on this page.

and for the price of foxfarm you get hesi stuff too, so there is no difference in price, just if you like the one better then the other:roll:

All I can say is try Jacks...it is not time release, only those who have not tried it are skeptical of its value...it is soooo cheap it "can't be any good" is what most who have not used it say.
Just remember, less is more!

The duo is two diff. blends....
20-20-20 AND 10-30-20
All purpose for veg and bloom for flowering.

IMO marijuana does not need "specific" nutes,,,marketing nonsense at best! And a waste of money!

would you take a mustang to a race if you know you have to face a tuned bmw or porsch down there?! i would say no. same thing goes with general pant nutes and nutes that are fine tuned for special purposes, it ain't wasted money. i got nutes for my orange trees, roses, rhododendron, tomatoes and all the other stuff i grow and it is not wasted money for sure, some things should be mixed.
hack with weed it goes that far that you get some stuff that is fine tuned to strains so that you get something for sunks, white strains or whatever.

saving on nutes is the wrong end really, with a liter of nutes for veg and flower each i can got thru up to 3 grows if i not happen to grow eaters such as WW.

I disagree strenuously with all of the above. Bogus analogies that in to way apply to plant growing...marketing hooey...

I went thru a stage of trying all of the special ferts on the market, must have been almost a dozen different brands. I now grow over 50 different types of plants and except for acid loving plants they all thrive on Jacks.
Obviously you have never tried it at all, and yet you seem to know better…hmmm?...try the stuff…. what would you have to lose...it's cheap and more effective than whatever you are using currently for your soil grows.
The best I have ever used for soil grows is Jacks. If you give it a try you will probably agree with me.
I have been using it for about five years now. It truly is amazing stuff!

oh what ever, do feed your stuff the way you like to, i go my. maybe i gone try that stuff on day but i would dulb this since i happy with my.

peace

wavels i would like to try jacks nice and cheap what should i order the dinamic duo looks like what i need also i would like to know how much and when you use

this stuff is so cheap i will also be getting the more expensiv stuff see witch works better im thinking

Fox Farm Nutrient Trio-for soil
Price $39.99

is this good dont want to pay to much

the fox farm will grow your plants really well, it isn't too expensive, yet isn't cheap either, but i will grow your mj quite well. as for jacks well i have never used it b4, BUT i will order some 2morrow maybe and give it a try on a soil grow of some randy candy beans ( freebie beans i got from the doc), hell if i like the results i'll switch, i love saving a few bucks as we all do. don't get caught up in the hype and hoopla about the next "best nute", imo some are designed to catch growers wallets rather than grow good plants. jmo of course. thanks wavels for the info on the jacks!

I would like to apologize to green-nobody for my belligerent attitude.....after all if it ain't broken why fix it? --applies here.
It is just that I have been able to convert some growers to Jacks and they have all thanked me for the heads-up! I honestly believe most who have not tried this brand will be happy with the way your plants respond to Jacks.
You can grow a lot of plants for about $13---Dynamic duo (one 8 oz all purpose and one 8 oz blossom booster...without shipping they are only about $8...!(If you can find it at a local store and avoid shipping cost.)
I can't say that Jacks is the very best for cannabis...it is simply the best I have used.... over the years I have tried a lot of water soluble ferts, but I have not tried them all...
Ganja will grow well with most any nutrients as long as they are not over applied (too strong a dilution).

With Jacks less is more...I start feeding vegging plants or newly rooted clones with 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of water(all purp.)...as plant grows I increase dilution to 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon per gallon of water (for indoor plants)...outdoors a full teaspoon or a little more per gallon works well. Remember to start with less and slowly increase.

Different strains handle different amounts based upon their nute needs and rate of assimilation and growth...I have found Jacks to be most effective in enabling me to dial-in the correct feeding rate for each strain to optimize the genetic potential of this miraculous plant.
Good luck and happy growing!

the best advice is too start with a brand and journal your entire grow on that brand. Make notes on the effects and troubles or successes you have. I use foxfarm in my soil grow. I read up on what my plants need and it boils down to nutes listed NPK. Once you understand that, then you give the nutes at various stages of growth. Then the trick is to listen to your plants . They will tell you if it is good or harmful. This is my first grow and I am almost at the end. My babies look great. And I use Foxfarm plus c02 plus mollases. I carefuly document how much and how often I feed. I also balance my water PH during every watering , especialy when I give nutes.

Go read up on your NPK facts and then make your own descisions. Heck your discoveries may even help us , who knows. But you also want to make sure you have started with a good soil , if you are going with soil. I mean there is a lot to growing healthy plants. And I have always grown things, artichokes, tomatos, corn, watermellon, canteloupe, spices etc., and I have always given them some form of organic nutes.

well good luck and hope this helped. Also what was the Foxfarm pack you were asking about for 39.99? what was in it? let me know and I will compare it to what I pay. peace out ~

i believe that mustangs or any other ford belongs in the junk yard

Another avenue to investigate would be the organic route.

Microbes, foods to feed 'em...and slow release organic nutrients. These will make your soil come aliive and the soil will then feed the plant, not the fertilizer. (the concept of organics in short) This is a good way to go if you are planinng on growing continuously and want to re-use your soils/medium. As time goes along, you will build a rich and microbially active soil using this method. This cannot be done using chemical nutrients as they will basically kill/sterilize the microbes present in the soils. (they cannot eat chemical foods)

The FF tri-pack are good ferts...but they are chems. They are also power-packed..and that can mean awesome growth at "dialed in levels" or it can mean toxicity and death if overused. (a common practice because the advertisers falsely tell us that more products/multiple additives are needed to grow cannbis)

IMO, noobs would be better served going organic. You can still burn your plants and stunt them with organics..but it is a bit harder to do than it is with something chemmie-based.

good luck
