nutrient mixture

hello,

I'm new to hydro systems and was wondering:

how do you check your nutrients mixture in your reservoir and how often do you need to add more nutrients/flush in a DWC bubbler system?

You can check the amount of nutrients using a PPM(parts per million) meter but it's not necessary. You should change your reservoir every week or two. I recommend every week. When you do this you should add the directed amount of nutrients and adjust the pH. The water level will go down each day, and when you top it off you should add a little bit of nutrients. Read the info on the link and you will find everything you need to know.

I actually go a little overboard. I add nutes almost everyday and flush and fill about every five days. But what LT. said is the norm! I like to give roots plenty of oxegen baths as well, sometimes twice a day for ten minutes.

I agree with both posts. I add 1/6th the nutrients every time they drink one gallon. I wouldn't recommend adding more than the suggested amount unless you get pretty good at knowing what your plants want. I burned my plants a little using the recommended dosage using the Fox Farm hydro but I think it was due to ph down. Less is better with that stuff. I learned that it will raise your ppm and cause damage even if you use the recommended doseage.
