Nutrient Burn

Hi everyone, one of my plants had yellow tips on two lower leaves, and looked droopy. This is because I overwatered and didn't PH after adding nutrients. I decided to flush her with water PH'd down to 6.1, and clipped off the yellowing tips. I tested the runoff and it matched the original PH. Did I take the right steps? She's in week 4 of veg currently.

If you think it was over watered, I would say a flush was not the thing to do...it's only going to keep it wet. If you fed and didn't pH your feed, oh well...when you feed the next time, be sure to go back to pH'ing your feed. Nature can take us making mistakes here or there, it's the snowball effect of making one mistake after another after another that kills us...and our plants. Slow and steady...good luck.

Hey CannaCountry, I appreciate the response! She seems okay right now, thankfully. When I read your response my heart sank a bit. But she seems okay today, I have some nice airflow going through the tent and the temps are at 78 degrees, 58-60 RH. Your right about mistakes though, they suck but we learn from them and then improve our future grows. This is actually my first grow, working with Mendo Purps and a few Critcal #7.

We all had a 'first grow'. Some people like myself are so old we didn't have a resource like RIU, so many of us experienced far less success than most newbies today, although that hard road taught a person many things if they paid attention. At any rate, it sounds like you're on the right track....slow and steady wins this race. Good luck friend.
