General Hydroponics makes some pretty decent nutrients... they are liquid.. the most popular is their 3 part GH hydro nutrients...

I enjoy Botanicare's lineup of Pure Blend Pro(Grow, Bloom, Soil Bloom). All liquids.

you'd want to go with liquid because powder you have to really mix it real good and let it dissolve.
