Nute Burn issue

I don't have pics to share because the problem occurred awhile back, but my question remains...
Why is it I use fox farms ocean soil and when using their liquid ferts (below the suggested amounts) all my leaves show burnt tips?
Over the course of three generations of growth I've reduced my usage of their ferts and ALL of my leaves eventually look burned regardless of how much I cut back.
I also wait to begin adding fert for at least a month after veg has begun as well because the soil itself is full of nitrogen.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Are you continuing to use FF liquid ferts or moving away from them?

I use Ocean Forest and FF nutes. I usually don't add nutes until after the first month, usually when I see signs of deficiency or the growth has slowed. Learned the hard way to never use more than half the recommended amount per gallon, typically less. I start with 1/4-1/3, which seems to be plenty for health and growth. Using the full amount basically guarantees burn. I'd imagine using a different soil would necessitate a higher concentration of nutes, but Ocean Forest is (IMO) the soil best suited for cannabis with very few issues

Thanks for the response!! I too have drastically cut back on the amount. Just wonder why FF doesn’t warn you!
