Not sure where to post this ballast question

Shouldnt there be an equip thread? i have a 1000k sodium ballast, capacitor is going buzzzzzzz in it but no light. Could it still be a bad capacitor or should i change ignitor?

im lost is it makeing the buzzing when the light is on or off if its on its not the ignitor i wouldnt worried about it tho unless u cant take the noies

Light doesnt come on but capacitor goes buzzzz

the buzzing has nothing with the light not going on i think it might be the ignitor but if u dont know what u doing then dont try i did n i got a big shocks lol do u have a halagen light try it in there if the light goes on its the ignitor cause you dont need a igmitor 4 it n remember a halagen light can go in to a hps balles but not the other way around

ok cool thanx, problem is i dont have a halide bulb. I'm just gonna get a new ignitor.

Still Could be the bulb... Take the bulb to a hydro store, Im sure they'll test it for ya.
