Ok, i know there are similar questions floatin around, but

i got a 2x4x5 hut on the way, and im ordering lighting tonight. I wanna get a 600w system, but im wondering if thats gonna be overkill in such a small space. Now im gonna be growin 12-15 plants, so im wondering if id be ok with 600w of power, or should i play it safe with 400w??

yeh cant afford the cooltube as of yet, but have mad fans on the way. If i have a standard wing reflector with a 600w setup, and just keep fans blowin on it all the time (one fan attached to my ELF carbon filter exhaust, one for air intake, and one spare - plus i have 2 rotating wallfans im gonna install to blow air around the room, and to blow onto the bulb since i dont have a air coolable reflector), do you think this would work??

as long as you got a good exhaust fan it will work..ive seen alot of people escape high temps in small spaces with just an exhaust fan..

If you can, keep the ballast outside the room, that make a 2-3 degree difference in a room that size. With that many plants, you'll likely want 600W so it can penetrate through the dense foliage. I have a 400W in a 3'x2' space with no cooltube, just intake and exhaust fans plus one going on the light, and temps have been hovering in the high 70s since I took the ballast out of the room.
