Northren Outdoor Growing

so some of us that enjoy growing for themselves. live in places where a regular photo strain would die well before its done ,if not in some kind of heated greenhouse.

so for people such as myself. Auto flowers are a smart choice, and yes i see that some people have a negative idea on autos.. and even the auto forums are full of some closed minded people. I think I may try to breed a strain that can handle places that most growers would say no to.

Im not sure there is a market for it. as i dont know how many people Live as far north as I do.. that actually attept outdoor grows.. though if it doesn't exist I would like to make it a thing.. I mean there are places in Europe that would probably like to have some good old garden grown bud.. but fear that since there light cycle is retarded.. thier plants won't finish fast enough..

so id just like to know.. is there anyone else that lives so far up north that they get 20 hours of sun a day during the summer until august?

then have winter drop all of a sudden and hit -30 right in the middle of sept with the light fading to 6 hours a day by nov

i gave a friend seeds when i was up in manning alberta. he grew them out in a green house w/ a radiant oil heater going once it got cold. they just kept on growing and growing its an insane amount of veg time up there. i started my seeds of the same strain 2 months before he did and his grew 5ft higher than mine. hes lucky his green house is 12 ft high. mine finished mid september and his never quite fully finished at end of oct he had to chop

ive never run autos but ill be running two this year. I just dont understand all the outright hatred people have for autos. I want to see what all the fuss is about. i understand why indoor growers dont like them and people who can do light dep. but what about the rest of us who want some early bud or with short seasons. i think with 20 hrs a day you could do great things with autos and get them to finish when you want. i would start them 5 or 6 weeks before solstice so the get the highest amount and power of the sun

My plan is to start breeding an auto strain for northern areas where the sun is 20 hours a day in the summer.. Growing season where I am is the end of may to mid sept.. The sun doesn't get to 12 hours until early sept.. And I've tried autos up here.. They work well and are done before frost
