Northern Lights feminized CFL Grow (single plant)

She's on day 16 right now, how does she look? Currently under 4 26watt CFLs. One of the leafs only came out with two fingers, have no idea why but she seems to be doing fine regardless.

Looks good Jack... Ill join in as I have a NL cfl grow at day 21 myself. Single plant also for my first one. Sub'd and taking a seat..lol.

I'm sub'd to yours as well, you're a little ways ahead of me so I'll always have somewhat of of idea where mine should be.

No, it's in a rubbermaid right now, going to stack it on another rubbermaid when i need the room. I have no clue how much soil i put in. I'm on day 19 right now, 3 inches high, she's looking real pretty.

As a cfl'er, I recommend topping your baby.

Looks good. Don't worry about the soil as much as the nutes. As long as you are giving it the nutes it needs, you should be fine with the soil you have.

SUBd, dude, I'm doing a CFL grow right now too, germinated 10 days ago, she's been under CFL's for 5 days (2 days under Flo). She's looking good man! keep it up.

I really have no idea what size the pot is, i bought it in september when i was trying to get all of my shit together for my grow. When should I top her? I've done a little bit of reading about it and understand how to do it, it's the when that nobody bothers to point out. I was going to lst her but the roots don't seem strong enough yet.

I waited till I had four nodes and then topped the new growth from that. Waited and did it again when I had what would be four colas to work with. Take a look at my grow. I just posted soem before and after pictures of my latest topping.

Maybe you could measure it ? Don't tell me you haven't got a ruler or something

I also wouldn't top before it has at least 4 nodes. Anyway it depends how big you want it and other stuff. Would also be good if you give her 1-2 weeks to recover before you start flowering. If you have enough space I would say after a month of vegetative grow.

It's 9 inches tall, 10 inches across.

She's grown a lot in the last few days, unfortunately lights are gonna go off soon so i'll get some pics tomorrow before I go to work. What's the earliest I would be able to flower if space becomes an issue? (It looks like it might get that way in the next week or two)

edit: I plan on topping her soon to get yield up.

You could switch to 12/12 right now but if you are going to top, you may want to top first, give her a few days to recover and switch to 12/12.

I'm thinking i'm going to switch to 12/12 monday without topping, I have 4 more NL seeds that I can do it with, I just want to try my final product ASAP. Here she is at day 26.

Yo Jack...My girl isnt as tall but she has a lot of shit going on. I have topped her and she is doing amazing. I just hit day 30 on vegging. I am going to switch light cycles next week.



I have had to use some LST to keep her down in height and to keep the branches growing out instead of up to allow more light to the other flower spot.

Also something that I have learned from this site is how to place you lights. CFL;s can be almost right on top of the plants and not burn them. Im talking 1-2 inches. Check out how close i keep mine. This also kept node spacing to a minimum.

I totally understand about wanting to try your finished product. My mouth waters every time I open the cabinet. But the mantra I keep is "think small, yield small" By letting her veg another week and using LST to keep her in line height wise, I get more bud in the end.

Either way man its your call and your grow..I think it looks real good and if your happy, I am happy
