  • Heyhey people!
I've been away from the growing world for over 6 months now and i miss it terribly! so im making an inroads to my 4th grow using nirvanas Northern Lights feminized.

My last 3 Grows have been very successful, northern lights is a fantastic strain for new growers and is very forgiving, in my last grow a falling light snapped a brach clean off (about week6 of flower) but the plant stayed very healthy and produced a bountiful harvest.

    Please keep your eyes posted on this grow journal as it is to be a good one! I plan on Topping one plant and Lollipopping the other to see what kind of results we can get, grow set up is as follows;

All my grows are very basic and low cost, but this is proof that you can grow excellent weed with out spending much money.
I will be growing 2 feminized Northern Lights Seeds (Germed using paper towel method)
Grown under 1 x 125W Blue spectrum CFL from growking (Aroung £1
    for the vegetative period
Grown in BioBizz AllMix Soil (£13 for a 50 LTR Bag) (Fantastic choice as all mix is a nutrient rich peat based soil so plants have enough food for pretty much the vegetative period)
Nutrients to be used are Biobizz Biogrow (£20 for a bottle but iv used this bottle in the last 3 grows and still have half a bottle left) and BioBizz Biobloom (As per Biogrow £20 for a bottle and still have loads left)
Ventilation - Opeing my door every day and a small Fan to keep them dancing.

Moving on to Flowering - I will be using a 250W (Aroung £40 for the bulb) and a 125W red spectrum CFL on a 12/12 Cycle - Using Grow and Bloom nutrients, i will then use a bigger fan in conjuction with the smaller one (In Pics) to keep air flows premium

And thats pretty much it! The most basic set up and i will show the most basic set up can produce outstanding results! So please subscribe and watch the magic happen i will be Doing Weekly updates (maybe inbetween for notable changes in plant such as sex, topping etc etc) And there will be TONNES of pictures aswell, so sit back, relax and get ready for nature doing what nature does best!

GERMINATION

Germination has begun people!
Im using the old fashioned paper towel method, between two plates (both sterilized) seeds havn't been touched by human hands and will only be handles to place into soil (using sterilized stainless steel tweezers) I will post a picture update once the tap root shows then we're good to grow! KEEP WATCHING PEOPLE THANKS!

I'd love to find a great N.L. plant again........ it's been too long.
Nirvana is the best so i've found im on my second bag of feminized NL seeds, every single seed has popped bar two out of the ten iv grown and all of them turned into lovely females and grew fantastically, i think my problem with my last two seeds is i let them dry out but its trial and error, good luck in your search mate and keep ya eyes peeled on this grow!
peace

Curious since you've grown these before-

1. How long did u veg and how tall did they end up?

2. How long did you let them go for and how well did they yield?

3. How was the quality and high?

Thanks mucho!

Hey mate hows you.

1. It varied between grows but it was an average of 3-4 weeks of veg period from the moment the seedling emerged through the soil, i usually topped them and ended up with 4 colas.
2.From the moment the plant showed its sex i flowered them for no less than 8 weeks (most of the time it was nine) and i average 1.5 - 2o.z per plant which isnt bad considering the low cost set up.
3. The high was always nice after the initial 7 day drying from harvest (its keeping an eye on the trichomes nearing the harvest window i wait for the trichomes to go cloudy/clear- sometime amber and the smoke is exceptionally good, NL gets that bit better if you store it in paper bag for a week to go crispy then put them in a masonry jar to cure for about a month, after a months curing the smoke was thick and very sweet and the high was so much better

Hope you find this helpful keep subbed to this thread and you will see what kind of yield we can get!

take care thanks!

Growing Nirvana's Bubblelicious right now (15 plants) after it was recommended by a moderator here and just switched over to flowering........she loves this strain.

Got any pic's of the previous N.L.? I grew Sensi's N.L. for many years way back when for it's ease, low odor and killer buzz but I've heard it's a different plant now.
