Noob to DWC - General question on finish times

Hi! Not new to growing but new to DWC, mostly soil (and a few coco) previously. My situation dictates that I grow mostly autos and I'm into my first round of DWC and autos. Everything is going well and I can already tell yields are going to easily be 2x on some plants compared to others I have done in soil. One thing I have noticed though, and it isn't necessarily bad but still it seems to have happened in all 4 strains I started in DWC is that they take 2-3 weeks longer to show pre-flowers and presumably (looking like) that much longer to finish than the same strains that I have previously done in soil. Is this a thing or is this just an anomaly? Still a good trade for me, a few extra oz / plant for a few extra weeks, just trying to get my records and process dialed in.

I've noticed the same thing. I can tell you that mine seem to take forever. I'm running decent lights and have seen what they can do on a previous grow. I've got a Mimosa that I was expecting to finish up a week ago this past Sunday. Her leave have faded, she has no white pistils(hasn't for a while) but her trichs show no amber. She has been flowering since Christmas. I'm running a perpetual so I can't really say how many I've done. All but one were DWC. I'm not changing methods anytime soon.
