Noob question

Well, I want to first start off by saying I think I like growing more than smoking :)

I'm gonna start off by saying I did everything wrong. I found a few seeds in my weed, and for shits and giggles, I tried germinating them. Only one took, not taking it seriously, I threw it in a bowl. And put it under 1 42W (2600 lumens) CFL under the stairway.

Once I started reading these forums, I started taking it seriously. In the first 5 days it grew to about 5". It looks like it is stretching, but its nice and green, and doesn't fall over when I move the bowl. Now I have it in a 1.5'x2'x4' grow box, with 2 26w (1650 lumens each) and the 42 W from before. Also, I have it about 4" away from the plant. I also have a bowl of water in there too, for humidity.

My question is is it too tall to recover, and also, how fucked am I not having a drain hole? I haven't been over watering, and today, day 6, I started misting. I've ordered 2 computer fans from ebay, and tomorrow I will put a small Dollarama battery powered fan on it, until my computer fans are in.

Thanks in advance

NO it's not too tall to recover, you can tie it down, and use LST techniques, You can also avoid the stretching a little more by bringing the lights to about 2" away, and makin sure they are the right spectrums. You want 6500k for veg and seedling faze, and 2700k for flowering. Do you know the color spectrum of your bulbs? And just add a drain hole now with a drill, and you'll be fine...but the roots will need air, and a drain hole provides that.

The 2 26w are 2700K and the 40 is 6500k. I don't have a drill so I can't drill the bowl, the glass would probably crack anyways. How bad would it be to transplant now, or in a few days?

i see what you mean....listen, don't burden yourself with the over care of your plants....If you take care and do a transplant and snap a root or two, it's NO BIG DEAL. The plants are weeds and are genetically coded to overcome setbacks quickly. Marijauna is an AMAZINGLYY resilliant plant....However taking care to preserve any roots is an asset to comback. Go a head and do the transplant whenever you feel like it. Sometimes it's easier to let the roots fill out...but overall lack of oxygen to the roots will stunt and rot them...so i think u should try sooner than later.

ok thanks, i may give it a week then transplant it in a big pot. What size should its leaves be? I see some around the 1 week age with bigger leaves, and mine is more like a 4 leaf clover. I'm gonna get my camera and take some pics this weekend

so today I came home and she fell over. Probably due to the stretching. The leaves got bigger though. I have her propped up with a bent bobby pin, is this the best thing to due. I also just put a small fan on her.

Get the 40w 6500k bulbs like 2" over top those seedlings, have the fan blowin the tops. Move the lights up every day as they grow.
