you mean root bound? Its when your roots have filled up your pot and have no more room to grow, you should be able to see from the bottom of your pot, if it gets real bad itll grow up out the top of the soil

because I have a smaller plant that is in a solo cup that is about 6-7 inchs tall and the bottom leafs are yellow and all the leafs are droopy so i though it needed more room.. I will continue to research the answer

Id always water in when u put them in a new pot.

ofc if ur due to water them, then is transplant 1st then water them in to their new home

Yeah, if the new soil isnt damp, your plant is gonna wilt pretty bad and if you dont catch it in time, RIP.

My brother didnt listen to me and didnt dampen the new soil, in the period of 8 hours we slept after that, the plant was pretty much dead, took 3 or 4 days in a humidity tent to bring it back, and its growth was severely stunted.
