Hello to everyone at riu. I am new to growing and have previously tried 1 grow about a year ago but I used some clapped out flouro tubes, cheap tomato nutes, cheap soil and not much research. That grow failed once I got to flowering.
This time round I have got the following kit......
400w mh/hps
4" carbon filtered fan
Ph meter
Biobizz light mix soil
Biobizz grow & bloom nutes
A ph meter
In a 1m x1m closet with about 9ft ceiling height
So hopefully this goes better
The seeds I am using are 4x female seeds C99
I planted my seeds about 9 weeks ago. 1week to pop and grow some, 6 weeks veg and I'm now 2 weeks into flower.
I have only nearly killed them twice lol.
Once when I was light proofing the closet and need more vents (heat stress). The second time was just after flipping I forgot to water for too long and they looked awful, 15minutes later they were all good.
I tried to fim my plants but I fimmed fimming. So I topped 2 of them and left the other 2. I am not LSTing as its my first proper grow I don't wanna mess it up. I just want to learn with this grow however I am a heavy smoker and I'm spending £400-600 a month on smoke at the moment so I really could do with enough to cover me for another 3months (6-9oz).
It looks like I have 3 hermies and 1 female so far. I have read some where though that feminised seeds can cause male preflowers that never come to anything once flowering.
Mine are flowering nicely and have plenty of pistils on all the typical budding spots but at every internode there is a ball, with a stem and stripes on it. These showed up first and then the pistils started arriving at the main cola. I also have some pistils now emerging from some of the balls. I have not had any new balls grow since I started it flowering and they appeared.
Should I pick them off?
I'll post some pictures later but I can seem to get any good close ups of said balls with hairs.
