No sex in 5 weeks... :-/

Ok so I've been begging this one bagseed for just under 5 weeks and im still seeing no signs of sex, even with a magnifying glass. It's grown well and I've not run into any problems so since everyone can sex within 3 to 4 weeks I'm curious if I'm looking on the wrong node or I'm just not seeing it. Ill add a couple pics and hopefully someone can suggest a method or see something I can't. image.jpgimage.jpg

you need pics close up of the nodes. is it on 12 12 yet..if it isnt it wont show sex

woot? im noob but why have I read 1000times otherwise....as in "if you veg it Long enough it will Show preflowers as sign of maturity also the best Moment to send them to 12/12..." Just yesterday i posted pics too fultono, mine are like 5 weeks from taprooted seed, also no preflowers there....:-( somewhere i read its also strain dependant and all that and can take like 4-8 weeks...edit: first link Google 420 Magazine, Admin Thread, Female Pre-Flowers and Flowering,:
How long this takes depends on the strain you are growing but after the seedling stage has finished you are looking at a time period of 4 to 8 weeks vegetative growth. With Sativa strains this can take much longer.

Hey guys. Ill take a couple close ups at the nodes in a min.
Im still on veg and I'm running all 6500k lights, 221 watts of CFL.
From what I understand plants will mature in veg naturally. I am cloning a top at the moment to sex it because I don't want to force sex and cost 4 weeks to return to veg since that'll make 9 weeks then another month to veg. The strain is power plant if that helps.

tbo "forced sex" is never a good thing :-P

yes take clone put under 12/12 asap. best way to determine sex of suspected plant.

Lime, should I give this clone a week to root before putting it 12/12? It's very short being that its a top.

Ok here are 3 closer photos of the nodes. First is the top, 2nd is the 2nd highest node, and so on. Fingers crossed they don't upload side ways! Lol

Vegging plants take 4-8 weeks to show sex. If you want it to show go 12/12 or take a clone and 12/12 it, or wait because it isn't showing. First pic appear to be the beginnings of a calyx but no pistils are coming out of it yet. IMO it could still go either way.

Since the plant is infront of you and not us I say you should google male/female preflowers and compare until you come up with your conclusion. That or do what i originally said.

Thanks guys. Ill send this clone to flower and see what comes of it. I see zero signs with a magnifying glass ATM so maybe I'm just not there get :)

no one here knows how to sex a plant early.
My white widow showed sex after three or four weeks of veg.
I had one male and one female.
the male has the ball sacks and the female has little white hairs.
You do not have to wait until flower to sex your plant.
that would be a big waste of time and nutes if you waited until then.
I've grown a few strains and I never had to wait until flower to sex them.

I popped 3 Blueberry seeds.
One showed sex (female) at 28 days, the next one showed male at about day 31.
The third looks to be possibly male, not sure yet at day 40.

The tallest, most vigorous one turned out to be female. (it is a pheno I have been chasing for a bunch of years)


The same seeds could have a difference of showing sex of nearly two weeks.

Blueberry is incredibly stable.
Phenos make all the difference.

Hey Fultono, thx for PM, so how about an update? Only one of my plants has Shown sex yet :-( atleast its female :-) for now.... :-/
