No roots

Sooooo.. i ve decided to try a dwc with sure to grow. i germinated the seeds until the leaves were completely seperate from the shell then i placed them in the sure to grow cubes andthen placed the cubes on top of a layer of expanded clay pelets in 6inch net pots and placed them in the dwc. i placed them all in the system at different times that way i could for see any problems. one the first plant was stunted but i managed to recover it and its growing more and more by the hour. but i have one that was planted a week later and its still stunted. this was in the middle of dec. now i have two more in the system both around a week- a week and the half and no roots what so ever out of any of the three.. one is a month old with no roots. im a dirt guy. im new to hydro..... any suggestion

Wait, so you germinated the seed. Let it grow a tap root & sprout leaves before placing it in your cube / rockwool / rapid rooter plug??? If so that's a no no. You need to get the tap root then place in the plug then wait for it to sprout, shoot roots then place in DWC

i put it in wet paper towel and left it in darkness until the shell came off and placed it in sure to grow cubes. the seedlings look ok so far but no roots have came out the net. since the same thing happened with the plant in the first pic i want to fix it before it happens to the rest

From my experience (just recovering) if your DWC is set up right and roots still aren't coming down but plants are living, then the roots think that below is somehow inhospitable, so they do what they can do where they like it and then just slow down.

Please provide more information regarding Air Temps, Water temps, pH, PPM, light cycle and maybe we can pinpoint any issues.

the ph is around 6 the air temp goes from 75 to 87( i tried to cool off the room but the blue widow likes it hot. it started stressing wen i left it at 70 all day) i dont have a thermomiter ( please excuse my spelling) but the temp of the water in the dwc with the small plants is the same as the temp in the single bubble buckets and its roots r doing great. as a matter of fact the blue widow grew 5 inches in two weeks. im on a 18/6 light schedule and idk the parts per million but both set ups have the same mixtures. theyre both in a 3 part flora
