You have height restrictions.... WTF and WTF came up with that dumb ass idea.....!
The federal & provincial governments are drafting up laws to be ready for July 1, 2018 as per our Prime Minister's direction to legalize MJ.

So far they are saying 4 plants (under 1 meter / 3 ft) per person, so I was thinking of SOG to keep the height under the proposed regulation, but I guess someone convinced them the height rule would just be a dumb ass idea

That will be up to each province to decide as they go forward.

And it’s 4 plants per household.

Somehow growing weed with those regs seems really unfun :-(

The limit in Oregon is 4 plants and 8 ounces. I can get ten times as much per plant outdoors from an average yielding plant. The height limit is meant to keep people from pulling out all of the stops to get ridiculous yields from those few plants.

You want to here stupid regulations? Oregon wanted us to report the number of leaves in possession. As if we're supposed to count them. We're also required to report the weight of our drying bud.

8 ounces? Is that yield or possession?

Dang, I can get that off 1 or 2 plants without even trying in a 3x3 tent. But that's it for 4 or 5 months, especially if I have to grow from seed.

Here in Mass, there is a 10 oz possession limit, PLUS any cannabis you cultivate yourself. We also have a 6/12 plant limit. No silly rules about counting leaves or reporting of any kind. At least not yet. They seem to be leaving personal use alone for now, even though are crippling rec sales before they even start.

Our turn will come. The anti's are gathering their pitchforks and burning crosses on the pol's lawns.

8 ounces in the home and 1 on your person in public. That's seperate from the specific amounts of concentrated, edibles, and drinkables. They did away with the "number of leaves" thing but we're still supposed to weigh out drying weed. It doesn't even specify if that's at harvest.

All of these rules are just efforts to restrict how much you can grow and have in your possession. They are afraid we will manufacture and distribute. Fools. People will follow the rules if you make them practical.

Otherwise, people will grow underground like they always did, or not grow at all.

The biggest issue right now is towns legislating a ban on recreational sales. 6/12 plants rule gives Mass growers a pretty decent amount of freedom. You can have 6 vegging and 6 in flower. That's a good amount of bud

Yeah, my town just voted to opt-out. You wouldn't believe the bitty squad that ran around generating hateful emails. Pathetic. The board of selectman just waffled.

We're also from Mass. Our Governor happens to be on NPR right now, talking on a show called "ask the Governor". People are calling in and telling him things or asking about upcoming state plans. There was an awesome suggestion for towns that vote to opt-out of recreational pot sales. Keep those towns from getting the tax benefits from marijuana sales.

It reminds me of the seatbelt bill where states would lose federal highway funding if they didn't pass the it.

Our plan is to really only go to dispensaries when we are looking for new strains to grow. One can do a lot of research online, but sometimes it's nice to see and taste before buying seeds.

Thing is, when a Mass town votes to opt-out, they are also opting out of medical. No dispensaries. No farming. No testing labs. No headshops. Nothing related to cannabis products or consumption - rec or medical.

If they already have a med dispensary or grow op, they can't op out. But in our case there were no med facilities or grows yet.

Do you have to grow the plants indoors? Otherwise this rule really helps CAN outdoor fans.
Yes REC 4 plant limit is for indoors only, part of the restriction to prohibit "access to children". I believe they will still allow MED to do outdoors if that what they were registered to do.
