Nitrogen Deficiency

I have a little bit of a nitrogen deficiency on my plants that are almost 4 weeks into flower. I know this is a common problem with plants in flower and I didn't load them up before going 12/12. I am growing in soil and using Fox Farms Bloom Big. I won't ever use these nutes again, but now I'm wondering what I should do to get my nitrogen levels back up?

Should I go ahead and do some feedings with Fox Farms Grow Big to try to correct the problem? I don't know what effects that may have.

Anyone with good suggestions let me know.

hey man!! so, youve got a nitrogen defficiency 4 weeks into flowering correct?? ok, theres actually no need to switch anything you are doing, a nitrogen deficiency is very common in the final phases of flowering, its normal.. some people like to crrect it, others dont..

I had a nitrogen def. as well in the flowering phase...

Its not going to affect your yield or outcome of your buds.... dont waste time trying to fix it and possibly burning your plants, just let it finnish up, youll be happy you did!!!

Yes but severe lockup causes sun leaves to die cutting down yield you need those for the final bulk up

That's the thing. I am losing quite a bit of leaves. I may just leave it be, but if I did want to correct it, any suggestions? I don't really feel like going back to veg nutes is a good idea. They are just starting to pack on a little bit of weight and I don't want them to stop. They are pretty happy little buggers.

you can bump then with 1/4 strength nitrogen along with their regular feeding. i do this in soil with organics.

When in doubt flush then out.After the soil drys start back with your nutrs at that weeks doze of food.Peace

i'm in 6" pots with soil. at about week 4 the green starts to fade. at this point i add about 1/2 tablespoon of mexican bat guano. hope this helps.:peace::joint::joint:

You have them in 6"pots.It's time to transplant them in bigger pots.The 6" pots are to small and root bound.In flowering the plants double in size,Above ground and the roots have to have more room to grow out and look for food.I would flush them out and step them up to 3 or 5 gal pots so the roots can stretch there feet a little.The roots can be bounded and causeing a lock out of the nutrs.I would flush them out and repot them in bigger pots,this should do it for you. Peace

if you're using one part chem or organic ferts, feed once with veg strength nutes, then switch back to flower schedule. i'm an advocate of green leaves til the day of harvest, and my yeilds back me up.

My plants are way too big to be in 6" pots. I think he was confused on who had the 6" pots and who had the nitrogen deficiency. I am thinking about using 6" pots for my next grow and growing 6 plants instead of 2, but much smaller plants. Just a better way to maximize yield.

i have 25 plants in a 3x3 room under 600w. i veg until they are about 10 - 12" then put them in my flower room. they get up to 24". when they are done and i dump the pots the roots seem fine.
