Nirvana Seeds, Old Seeds or shit?

Man these Nirvana seeds are taking FOREVER to Germinate. My first seed died, I will claim responsibility for that one. I used the Paper towel method and it took atleast 2 days just for the tap root to show, then another 2 days for it to sprout. However the Cotyledons never really sprouted out and had the cask still on it. It looked liked mold was on the leaves and the cask was stuck on.

This time i put the seed in a glass full of RO water and put it in a drawer in the darkness at room temp. After 24 hrs it did sink. So i'm guessing they're old seeds. Anyways It's been since late Thursday night almost 48 hrs since planted and Nada. I have it in a peet pellet in it's final resting place in a pot with seran wrap covering the pot to hold in moisture. Are Nirvana seeds just shit, old or what?

Btw the seeds are Blue Mystic Auto. I have grown before, really just germed the seeds and had it sprout and i feel like it was a lot quicker than how things are going right now

sweet man, I think i'm just being impatient. I checked on it a couple hours ago and i'm already starting to see the seed push up. I learned from my first seed and did a different method. Thanks for your help brother. you got a growing journal? have you grown Blue Mystic before?

i have had nothing but good experience with nirvanas seeds, they are low priced so if 1 or2 dont pop no big deal.. not like when u pay 25 bucks per seed and they dont germ.. ive run several nirvana strains and in my experience every pack of 10 had at least 4 or 5 great phenios..as a matter of fact i planted 10 ice and had 7 females to choose from all 7 wer awsome yielders and crystalized heaven it was very hard to choose the best 1,,i ended up keepin3 different mothers they wer all keepers...ive never been let down by nirvana or seedsman seeds...now ive had REAL problems with dj short, sensi,mr.nice,serious, and cali conection seeds...wen u pay top dollar for seeds you expect top dollar genetics... wen i pay 10-20 bucks per seed and plant 10 seeds only to get 6 or 7 to pop then 3-5 females and if your lucky 1 good phenio thats bull shit,, and its happend A LOT...with sensi i planted 5 feminized super skunks and 3 fem white widows,,none of the widows popped, 3 of the supers grew,1 hermed out and out of the 2 neither was even close to good weed,,they smelled like fresh cut grass, zero crystilization,small fluffy buds,, i couldnt give it away,,id rather buy 2 or 3 packs of nirvana seeds for a better price and have more females to choose from...even if a pack of ten was all shit,,ur out 20-30 bucks with nirvana,, its much more depressing wen u pay a hundred or more for 10 seeds and cant find a keeper..

Keep it simple - just plant in soil you will have a 98% germination rate - forget all the other stuff

i have tried a few methods for popping seeds, the cup thing isnt my favorite.. i pop most seeds in paper towels, wetted and placed in a warm dark place.. good seeds normally pop in 2 days but ive had some take up to a week to pop.. as soon as i see the root tip i put them in 1 inch rock wool cubes..ive had problems with them not coming up, they pop,go in cubes, and turn black, or just never come up, even after checking on them.. i seem to have better luck w/ them coming up if i leave them in the paper towels till the root is maybe a half inch long...i have many many seed strains and i keep them all in a fridg,,im starting to think wen u buy seeds after a month or so in the fridg germ rates drop.. i never used to have germination problems but recently its become a hassle, they dont pop, or they pop but dont come up,, i dont know whats going wrong? any recomendations? i just popped 5 purple 1's and 2 papaya, all seeds popped, then i put them in cubes and 2 of the purples came up and 1 of the papaya came up, i keep checking on the others but some have turned black and the others just stopped growing,,7 seeds, 3 plants,,thats a waste of lots of money as the purples wer dutch passion..

damn man, as ignorant as this is, I always expected a high germ rate. However now that I think about it, when you buy seeds from the story, you usually get about 30 or so. This shit just gets expensive man. What brands do you know for a fact are shit and shouldn't buy?

i cant say any company sells bogus seeds, as ive ran seeds from alot of seed companies with at least some success..the worst strain i ever run was sensi super skunk, seeds wer viable but no keeper mother and world of seeds afghan kush, i ran 10 seeds and only 5 popped,4 grew, and 3 females but all wer ditch weed genetics..however i also ran world of seeds pakistani kush and it was amazing, 7 females of which all wer keepers...so no company sells bogus seeds or nobody would buy them,,i guess its luck of the draw even with the most expensive seeds tho..i hate paying high prices for seeds and not getting keeper genetics as i did with dj shorts blue berry..i paid 25 bucks per seed and none sprouted so a hundred dollars and i didnt even get 1 plant,,luckily the place i bought seeds from gave me a few free bees to cover the loss but still...
