i wanted to test out some of my buds so i clipped a cola off and figured since the oven is said to be too fast even at low temps i put it in a paper bag by my wood stove. there isn't much heat where it is sitting since they are built to let out the heat on the top of it but suck in air from the bottom, so that area is very very dry air.
the humidity outside has been hovering around %60+ for the past month or more, so just sitting in open air it would take far too long to dry.
i left the cola in the bag by the stove every night for the past 3-4 days when i am having a fire, roughly 8hrs a day/night. its dried it up very nicely, its smokable now but i've put it back into a jar to preserve some dampness for now.
just thought i'd put out the idea for anyone else out there with a wood burning stove and wanted to dry fairly quickly.
