first you germinate them (look up some threads on how to germinate.) then you will transfer them to your growing medium i use oasis but some people like rockwool. then put them in dome to root. then once roots sprout transfer to buckets and add pellets :) i am switching to nft on my next grow let me know how it works for you!! ) Good luck !! :)

I'll give oasis a try, i never did like the idea of rockwool cubes. I thought that you would break the cube and place the plant into a medium like vermiculite in some kind of mesh basket that would go straight into the NFT channel. If you want I'll PM you after the second or third week.

http://homeharvest.com/oasisinstructions.htm I don't even have to transplant! I will probably break it apart any way and put the plant in a net pot filled with something like vermiculite.

i would not chose verm for hydro it works fine at first but if you dont change it out it will turn into mush pudding and root rot your plant. not to mention that the small tiny speck will get through your net pots and mess up your pump/filter after awhile.

thats cool, I was told I could just germinate them in the cube and leave them in the nft system with plain water, I just had to support the cubes. My nft system is very improvised. I had to build the entire thing from scratch. I could have done a better job, but i'll make do for this grow. Next time, ill probably just use gutters and rig them to drain into a res.

How do I put my seedlings into nft system? also what should seedlings be grown in?
I used to put them right into collars and let the roots get sprayed but now I go to rapid rooters from germination. Seems to give a good start and web for the roots instead of letting them hang. The fit right into the 2" net pots and I cut the collars in half and they fit right on top to support stem, and the plants love it.
