12/12 with what lights? Please tell us everything about your grow. Lights, temperature, humidity, size of space, nutrients you'll be using, water pH etc.

Also, it's worth noting that a lot of proper research is needed. Cannabis will not grow in a window sill beyond seedling stage for example.

A good resource to begin the research process is here: https://growweedeasy.com

Right I've 5 channel+ plants ranging from 1 to 3inchs in size and they are currently in composting soil with some worm castings I'm just waiting on vermaculite and Coco coir I was going to make my own soil which I seen on a webpage somewhere in looking to grow these outside so I am I was going to dig holes and fill with my own soil like I've seen on videos for the UK and I think we get about 14hours of daylight at the minute so how will I know when to plant them in the ground and how will I start the flowering stage that's my question? Like I said I'm new to this and am quick at learning things so all knowledge is kindly appreciated

If you grow them outdoors then you don't start the flowering stage...nature does when the days get shorter between summer and fall. Unfortunately, you are supposed to do all this research before you germinate the seeds.

I would highly recommend you go to www.growweedeasy.com and read the beginners guide. You won't learn anything from a bunch of random people on the internet giving you advice. Everyone has their own methods, and opinion, so you really need to learn the basics, form your own, and then ask help with the parts you are confused about.

A couple quick notes.
Your window likely wont provide enough light for long. You may want to look into some supplemental lighting.
Plants can go outside once its warm enough (two week after last frost minimum, temps should be preferably be in high teens or low 20s). Don't forget to harden off.
And assuming you have a photo period plant it will only go into flower when it gets 12ish hours of uninterrupted dark.
Lots of research to do....

If you put them outside too soon in the season regardless of how warm it is out, you'll run into a situation where there's not enough sunlight to keep them in vegetative state, so they'll start flowering, then as the spring turns to summer, it'll re-veg, then later in the year, it'll flower again.

Always pay attention to how much time there is between sunrise and sunset in your specific growing area before putting the plants outside for the year.

This is very true. At my latitude warm = late enough but thats not the case everywhere. He did mention he's already getting 13hrs light tho...

I bow to your expertise. I've only been doing this a few years small scale.

I think I understand abit more now just let them grow naturally outside and as the nights get longer it will flower itself but I'm just worried that over here would be to cold and wet at the start off autumn for the plants so what I'm trying to ask is there any way to start the process earlier or just risk it and hope for the best.

The only way to be in control is to have an indoor grow or autoflowers.
My bro once got through a grow by taking his plants into a pitch dark shed every night for 12 hours. But mess up once and your grow is screwed. It's too high risk and even he ended up harvesting stupid early.
Check out my tiny grow thread. Maybe you can rig something up inside?

This was a lesson I learned early. I had a grow outdoors where it didnt start to flower until September! It wouldn't have been ready until mid November which here in Ontario means snow. Harvested early. Learned a lesson. Proceeded to do ALL the research.
