Newbie problem, help... please

hey guys im about 6 weeks into veg and my plants are getting yellow spots, some look like nut burn, yellow from the outside in. While look like their getting hot spots on them. Here are some photos

I already suspect that im right but im looking for conformation. Its strange that they are getting nutrient burn since im giving them 1/6th the recommended dose of fert.

And just FYI, the temps are below 85, using a 600w MH, with exhaust hood.

thats not nute "burn" , thats nute lockout. i would say your overwatering. your underfeeding and over watering. wait till she is dry enough to perk up , then hit her with a regular dose of something instant. (a chem)

what dirt are you in ? im gonna guess a peat based product , which after 2 months or so starts getting a very low ph. (which could cause your issue)

Hey thanks for the reply, im using coco coir with perlite. Feeding fox farms. Honestly i dont think im over watering though, i water the big pots, once every other day and the small pots usually get water everyday, because they dry out pretty fast... My ph is probably on the lower end of the spectrum but its not too low. I had been spraying the foliage alot lately could that be it?

Oh and the plant is needing to be transplanted soon, should i hold off on that till i can fix the yellowing issue or could it be the pot thats causing this?

It's hard to overwater in coco that's why people like to use it for drip systems. Have you been spraying the plants with anything?

ok , i was wrong bout the ph..... your in coco , so its right where it needs to be. good

i would use at least a full teaspoon of the grow big (an a full tablespoon of the big bloom) in a gallon of water. thats a low dose an should be enough to tell you if that is the prob. you almost cant overdo the big bloom , its just a pile of microbes an carbs an other goodies for the dirt. its not really a "plant food". The grow an tiger is very strong though.

how much are you currently giving her per gal ?

dont transplant just yet...... how big is the pot?
when you water , how much runs onto the floor ?

can you send a pic of the side of the plant so i can see the stems? if not describe the color please....

maybe pottasium deficiency, but get other opinions

Okay cool, again thanks for the reply, so the last feeding i did was 1/4 Strength, reason i did so was because the very first time i fed them(2 weeks after germination), i gave 1 tsp grow big, and 3 tsp big bloom ( using a syringe so i know the measurement was accurate) which is a half dosage as recommended, and the next day my plants had a few of these yellow spots on them... So i just did water for about a week and the plants started improving the yellow spots. So i then did the 1/4 strength and it came back. So i actually ordered some of F.F's sledgehammer flush and flushed the plants out , but when things didnt improve i thought i better ask before i kill them.

The current pot is like a 1- 1.5 gallons, its one of those store bought pots that claim to be self watering, i never used that(feature) , i always overflow the pot, doing it so the self feeding dish is over flowing. And the new pot is a 3 gallon cylinder say diameter top to bottom.

Yeah i will get some pictures for you in an hr when the light kick back on. Also if i didnt mention it before the stains are (2)jack herer, and(3) White Widow x skunk #1

Just purified water.... All the water i use is zero TDS water, purified thru my RODI unit, for those unfamiliar, that stands for Reverse Osmosis - Deionization.

Not sure if this is relevant to your grow here, being 6 weeks in and all; but spraying plants under HPS/MH cycle can burn the plant under some circumstances, although since I've never sprayed my plants like this under a 600w, I can't atest to the likeness of being a contributing factor to the issues your having. Good luck in finding out the problem. I just thought I'd mention that after viewing a few pics and seeing some excessive moisture like in pic 3 of original post. Those can magnify the light when put under normal distance for vegging ect.

one thing im not seeing , that i fully expected to see was the stems turning red from the slow growth. you can see some red stripes starting but thats not bad.

she is hungry. 4 weeks ago when you fed her , she had plenty of food still in the dirt. now she really needs it. 1 or 2 tsp of grow an 2 or 3 of BB. wait till she drys up, im still not convenced its not overwatered.
send me a link to that "pot" your using. what the fuck is a self watering pot ?

Once again another example of why newbies shouldn't be using coco. Your plant looks decent and i commend you on spending the money on quality equipment but coco should not be used for newbies.

Yeah i sprayed them just before i took the pictures. I think the spraying may have just worsened my problem, but didnt cause them.

heres a link to a similar pot. That isnt the exact one, but you get the idea. their not growing slow, i dont feel anyways. its kinda strange though, not all my plants are showing these signs only two( the jack herer plants). I too noticed the reddish stripping on the stems but i started seeing that after i topped the plants, i figured it was a stress thing.

The plants with the problems are two larger plants in the back left corner. Their the oldest, a little older than 5 weeks(seeds were placed in paper towels on july 26th), thats not slow growth is it?

See here is plant #1 (jack herer), the new growth looks pretty healthy right? But if you look to the right you can see the damaged leaves.

Im not sure why your saying that but, After using it i kinda agree, i wish i had either gone fully hydroponic or truly soil, either miracle grow, or something similar. Having to add fertilizer SOMETIMES but not others is confusing... But it looks like im in too deep to back out now so its full speed ahead.
