Newbie Pics/Advice

Hello!

First grow I have been mostly using YouTube videos as my guide and random internet articles as I go. These are just seeds I found in bud and tried to grow, I have three large plants and I am at the end of my 5th week of flower using a 1000w led grow light from Amazon and a few side regular led house bulbs in balast. (SP) :)

Any advice is appreciated I feel like it's doing well but buds seem small maybe for 5th week? ‍♂

Also on 12/12 6-6 light schedule.
No nutrients just miracle grow soil from Lowe's.
Strain is unknown could be black widow or sour tangie or anything really.

You still have a good 4 weeks to go, They will fatten up. The first few weeks in flower the plant stretches as much as she can. Once she stops after a couple weeks, she then starts producing flower. Lights, environment, and strain also plays a big role too.

What is bad about the time release balls in the soil? I'm curious not disagreeing and thanks for the advice I will def avoid it next time!

Usually they deliver too much N late in flower. Better off just using good reg soil and letting it use up the nutes as it goes. Much easier to add as needed than to fix an excess time release nute

It's better to have control over the nutrients your giving your plants rather than leaving it up to time release nutrients IMO. As far as your bud size goes you're in week 5 now and that's usually when buds start swelling and packing on some meat, also keep in mind you still have up to 7 weeks of flower time left.... patience young grassgrower

Thats a tall girl, I thought about growing in my spare bathroom. Obviously because of the tub. Shower has a glass sliding door. How well did it work for you?

I hate to say it but MG DOES work if you know what you're doing and you need to be in the mindset that less is more. With this kind of investment, it would be better for you to have spent that money on better soil or Name brand nutes. I personally don't ever feed with wet notes I use dry amendments so yes time-release does work. it just has to be organic. People will disagree with me but that's what I've seen and it works, and yes I've grown with MG dry's as well and I hate to say it they worked the exact same as my Gia Green.
