Newbie Lighting question w pics

I have a T5 light and have two bubble gum strain plants(less than a week in soil) and was wondering how close I should have the lights to them? I have one taller than another and not sure if something is wrong. I have pictures attached for your review. please let me know what you think. I keep checking on them every 5 minutes...lol This $hit can get addicting. FIRST GROW ever!! :O)

You can get that T5 light about an inch from the plants.. Use your hand to determine if its too warm.. You can get it very very close.

Thank you. Does the plants look ok? I have had the T5 basically on top of them but for these pictures brought them up some. I will head back down and lower the light back down.

they look great... Those lil babies will take right off on ya soon enough...
