Newbie after some advice on first grow

Hi there,

I am 5 and a half weeks into my first grow, with one of my plants showing some strange signs. The leaf edges are curling up and there are a couple of random spots on one leaf and what looks like browning edges on another. Now the plant its self looks lush and green so I really just want to get onto whatever the problem is before it gets out of hand. I will give you as much details as I can about the environment.

Plants are in 14 liter pots (3.7 gallons)
Grow Medium is coco with 15% perlite
Temp is between 24c and 28c
Humidity is between 58% and 65%
Nutrients are General Hydroponics (Flora Gro, Flora Micro and Flora Bloom)
Watering PH after nutrients are mixed in is 5.8 - 5.9
Lighting is 4 CFLs 6500k (24w each)
Air flow is a 30cm box fan which keeps a constant gentle breeze through the room

The lighting is going to change in a few days as I want to start the flowering cycle 12/12. I have a 250w HPS and 4 2700k CFLs also. I'm sure this will be more than enough for 2 plants..

All help/suggestions would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Looks like some tacoing of the leaves and some saw tooth. Other than that they look great. Fix the problem and youll be fine. I hope that those cfls are 40 real watts or higher and not the small ones. Sounds like everything will be just fine :):):)

Hey ninja, thanks for the quick response. So how would you suggest I fix the problem? I am very meticulous with things and just want to do the right thing.
Thanks again

Ive only had the issue once at the end of flower from over feeding i believe, but i looked into it for you and it seems that most people believe that its caused by heat stress related to lack of water. Id back off on the nutes for a while, raise the light or lower temps and water that lady. Should work :):):)

might want to add them 2700K CLFs soon (I would use em along side the 6500K in Veg.)

Hi slipon I have flicked on 3 2700k cfls now also, thanks for the advice. As I said at the start of the post I will be starting the 12/12 cycle in the next day or so as she is 14 inches tall now and my other one is 17 inches tall. Fingers crossed I see some little white hairs in a week or so :)

Good luck and yeah is it taco like that on bottom leafs or just the upper parts...if so on just on upper part heat stress....should be fine though bro just either get a better exhaust system going or a better fan blowing the heat around and out

Hi guys just thought I would let you know that both ladies are doing fine now, it was a heat problem, more ventilation and all is well. Just starting to see some buds coming on. See picture ---------> DSC_0879.jpg
