So new grower here (naturally) with 5 plants harvested under my belt. Anyway, I have been reading everything I can to unravel the "truth" about the right time to harvest. What I've come up with, is that home/medical/personal growers seem to believe a minimum of 15% amber and a late harvest is better. On the other hand, commercial and black market growers who rely on income from their product scream to harvest early to "maximize" potency. Is potency so important if the end user prefers it harvested late? It just seems suspicious to me that those who make money push so aggressively for a shorter grow cycle. Fact is you cut a week off your grow cycle and you increase your profit by at least 10%. When information from the "experts" is confusing I've found that the easiest way to the truth is to figure out who is making personal gain from their position. In this case its pretty obvious which side of the argument has personal gain. Now all those that cultivate to sell can call me names and tell me I'm wrong. Which I might be....
