New way to SCROG experiment will it work?

this scrog I am currently doing is run by a 600 watt LED but instead of being placed above the plants. it will be placed on the side with the light directing to the side of the plants. after 2 days I notice the plants naturally bending towards the light like its chasing it. being curious of it I am planning on having it chase it untill it reaches and touches the LEds than after I will take the LED and hang it over and start flowering making it look like a carpet of green. will this work and increase yield?

if the plants stretch far enough to the side and start to bend like 90 degrees and then you put the light overhead, i would think it would have an effect like LST. if thats the case then you should get better bud production seeing as LST produces more "top" colas. how long you been using LED? i heard they dont work but ive never seen em used or used em myself. but everyone says CFL's dont work and ive seen pretty good grows with those.

also, im not sure on the penetration of those led's but if you let the plant bend towards the light real good and then turned the plant so the plants running away from the light it should make for a bushy ass plant, since it would be using its energy to go horizontally back to the light.

I smoked some very nice Red Dragon the other night grown off LEDs. nice bud.
