New to the grow...

Alright I'm extremely new at this but I've been reading through as many threads as I could for sometime. Taking into account moderate grow space, but with no real size limitations, what would be a reasonable sized grow box/room for my first time? I'm gonna have veg/flower in a different area. Any info would help a ton. -vega

What size lights are you using and what medium?

Well I should have clarified I guess, thats part of my question in a way. I already have 1000w hps for the flowering process and a 400w I had from a long time ago but was certain really about the area from my grow/cloning. Was wondering about measurements and then what would be a reasonable light/type of light for that area. -vega

the 1000w will get hot so you might have to either air-cool it (highly recommended) or keep it far away from the tops of the plants. I have burnt plants as far away as 2 feet with mine and it is air-cooled!

So you should take vertical growth into consideration.

Depending on plant to light placement, a 1000w will easily cover a 4' x 4' area. And 3' x 3' for the 400w. YMMV

So is 1000w better for a stretch grow and have tall planst or better for a shorter scrog grow so that distance from lights isn't as big of a concern? -vega
