New to growing

Hey all,

Started taking an interest in growing my own, cause I'm getting tired of paying the high price. Found this site little over a year ago and began reading, also read a book on Indoor growing.

Learned there was more to growing than planting seeds. So I started out growing herbs and chili peppers using Emily's Garden with 125W CFL light in a computer amore. Growing for myself, so if I can get 4 plants growing, I'd be a happy camper, or is that, "toker"?

Don't know how to use the site, so I'll just read what I can. Don't even know what a "tag" is, or "trackback".

Anyway, glad to be here.

hey bro, with this site, that book you got is obsolete!!:hump: j/k, but seriously, all the info you need is right here with tried and true growers. get used to using the site and taking in the knowledge from the established growers here. then with a couple grows under your belt, you'll be an expert yourself :leaf: keep it green and enjoy the community:weed:

Cool - I'm new here also. Same thing - I decided it was time to grow my own medicine. There seem to be a national political push also, for the recognition of the many uses of the plant, medicinally as well as industrial. That coupled with better lights, filter and better strains of MJ, it has finally become available - even to me.
I love smoking decent home-grown without seeds - compared to what's often available where I live - yucky Mexican pot.
I also feel I'm doing something for the national economy - keeping the money right here.
Show us some pictures of your set-up, and let us know how it's going!

dont ask questions, just go to the forums and read, i doubt any one will answer questions that are a few clicks away, go to the top of this page and hit forums, then go to like newbie central or something, we were all new at one point, so god luck guys, but for real, most of your questions have already been answered here, just find them and you will be good to go,
