New some advice/info on a grow room build

Okay so I have this closet 10x4.5x8, I would like to use a 4x4 section of it for some type of stage in my SOG..I was thinking of flowering in this room or veg...I have a 3x3 tent too that will be in a different part of my house... what do you recommend doing, flowering in the tent or in the closet?

When preparing this space for a grow, what should I do. I was thinking of bombing it, pulling up the carpet then laying some plastic down.. I need to make sure that the room is completely sealed up so I dont have a light leak right?

What type of lighting do you recommend for the 4x4 space...1000watt?

i can help with a lot of this, it's all over, but nehow.... the forums are har dot navigate, 4x4 dude? how many plants, what type osf setup hydro or soil? I'd say more light with hydro is better as the plants can use it better due to root aeration and nutrient uptake. the best ideas out there for small ops i'm seeing (and this is partially opinion) is tat a 400 watt is sufficient, but for a sallarea like that get a Ceramic Metal Halide.they are very new. better specturm,less heat, more lumes per watt, these ligts were being used in factories and warehouses and growers saw the full spectrum lighting and got a new idea. so check that out! hit up the cheapest deals thread in the growroom section for where to get a ballast(sunlight supply has some gooddeals, s does HTG online garden supply)

the get some CFLs and plug tem in around your setup wit pivoting points to move them asthe grow develops easy to customize ligting with a mid size HID light(the CMH bulb) the supplement with either 3-4 42 w cfls or 5-6 27 watt and remember that many agree that above 42w cfl bulbs are more prone to push more heat per lumen therefore wasting power so take that into account when or if looking to go all cfl which is a really great idea if you can handle it. check out Dr.BudGreengenes on here and on ICmag forums for some good cfl shit, he is a legend, and Al. B. Fuct is an easy t follow grower growing here on riu He also hasa big following you'll find these are some things I'm pursuing . I put like four hours a day in every day for the last year or so so i get around thisforum anyhow as for bombing, yeah bomb then get some of thse eco friendly product from wal mart to clean up the possible residues, paint your walls flat white with a quality paint (also at walmart or home depot) and you're ready to grow. makesure you can pull up the rug at any time as if you sppill you don't want mold and pests and as for light seals grab some aluminum tape at home depot or online and just run italong any cracksand then for your door get rubber weather stripping stuff to hold air and light in. if you live in a residential you're going to also need some exhaust, possbly air cond. or maybe a good fan, and DEF gonna want a carbon filter or odor socks or whateer, they are on that cheapest and best deals thread in grow room setup it is stickied at the top so tha should get you thinking. look at all the different styles and find onethat takes some real work to put together and low maintenance if you canandyou'll be glad you did in the end tis help?

by the way you'd be pushing about 550 watts with those cfls and that one 400w hid, that's a reasonably cheap system if you shop around and you can make it yourself if ur DIY type,as for your bill as long as you keep it al below 1000w you're better oof imo so go for less lights andbetter ventilation as this enablse faster and more efficient growth (big fat juicy buds without mold or issues) by promoting soil aeroation water quality and low pest and mould conditionsthink about a co2 tank DIY tey take like 35 min to put together and thn sit back and watch it grow this what i am thinking but it's hard to get the idea into reality for me but this is good theory its all backed up right hereon the foums if you look around you'll see that so get back to me and we can turn this thread into a very helpful post

damn dude i have too many ideas, also remember that for like 1100 $$ you can put together 2-3 microgr cabs with cfls (DrbudGreengenes again) and grow a bunch of perpetual strains that is complicated but in the end pays off and is VERY efficient as far as costs go and you can move them out QUICK forsecurity purposes i think i maygo this route when i quit my full time job and just liveto grow u know? so this couldbe a great starter thread for growerswith diversity and production both in mind

lol yeah i know ui'm jsut trying to get my room setup and this is the easiest way for me to get thoughts to paper. I'm very hyperactive and very disorganized but when i can really get into a groowve i can get something on paperthen i can go from there... lol
