New seedling Does this look familiar to anyone?

Hey All,

I had a sprout pop today and it looks different than the others.

It's almost a day old and has been taken care of the same as the others, moist but not wet, 70-80 degrees, 16 hours of light (almost 16 so far for this new one)

Anyways, it looks odd, the tip looks yellowish and the very end is almsot black.

It only came up today so I am assuming the tip still has part of the husk/seed shell on it and that is what the discoloration actually is

Ill post some pics, my phone cant take pics well but it ll give ya an idea.

Anyone have any thoughts?

A few of mine came up like that, and they all turned out fine. Some of them had the entire shell still on, and some had some of the membrane like stuff on its leaf. After a day or 2 it was dry and I just kinda scratched it off

nice, I assumed it was only some sorta husk part, but wasnt sure, it's all black and yellow, and Im just standing there bent over saying "what the fuck is that?"

lol yea that's about how I reacted to mine, was all scared thinking it was some sort of rot or something

hehe, yea dude, that is completely fine, in another day the embryo leaves will finally dry enough to separate by themselves - either the shell is still on OR even if it has already fallen off sometimes it leaves a film of dark muck on the initial leaf set before separation.. at least its not as messy as when a mammal is born!

Sorry I can't wow you with thought overload this time around. All i can tell you is that no one is going to be able to tell you what you have when it's still in the seedling stage. Hell, even when it's flowered and harvested, no one will know what it really is. It's kinda like asking a cracka to tell one black nigga from another. Or asking a mexican if the white guy is Polish or German.

The best your gonna get is someone telling you if it's sativa or india dominate. And even then there is a lot of room for bullshit.

perfectly normal for this to happen - as the seedling gets more light an nutrition for the heat source the shell will then pop off and the seedling will sprout into a fine lovely lady (hopefully) good luck!
