New room idea

I have decided to use my whole closet area as a grow room. The room is aprox. 4'x4'x6.8'. I was thinking of a 400hps for it. The closet as of now has no ventilation but if i was to add a 150cfm fan to the ceiling and another to the bottom of the door ( would need to be some configuration to keep the light from the ajacent room out) would this cool thta closet ok? The ajacent room is around 300 sq ft and has a 6000 btu air conditioner in it so the temps can always stay in the high 60's. I know nothing at all about hid lights since all i have been using is cfls for the last 2yrs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

If you have an air conditioner then it would easily keep it cool. My 400 watt does not get all that hot.

You may want your room a little warmer than in the high 60's though. 75-78 is perfect but my room gets into the low 80's wen the lights are on with no ill effects.

Thanku

The air conditioner is actually in the window of the adjacent room to the closet. With that room staying around 70 and with the small fan in the door to the closet (which will always be closed) always on.........do u think that the closet will still keep a good temp? Right now with no lights it stays about the same temp as the adjacent room. Of course their will be the exhaust in the ceiling. The house is actually a 16x72 mobile home so not sure how good ventilation will be. Thanks for ur help!

you can have a little higher temp with co2. Best thing to do is throw the light in there and see what happens. By the way if you use a cheap fan (like a basic bath fan) it will be loud if it is on all the time. By your measurements you have 108 cu ft so a 150 cfm fan should be good you'll have a complete air change in less than a minute.
