New Room...Humidity issues (high)...

Hey Guys,

O.K. so I have a fairly new setup in my basement (just entered flowering 2 weeks ago). I'm having an issue with humidity being too high. The room is 6'x14' divided in half with plastic for veg and flower. Veg side is perfect with about 70% humidity...but the flower side is about 80%. I have a good amount air from the intake fan and the exhaust is setup to create a vacuum in the room (exhausting more air then the intake to reduce odor from escaping). When I put my dehumidifier on it will lower to about 70% over a 24hr period but the heat from the dehumidifier is driving my temps up over 80 degrees during the light cycle (down to about 70 degrees when the light is off). Here are the two room setups...

Veg
400HPS
4' double T8
no intake fan but good ventalation for fresh air

Flower
1000HPS
150CFM intake air fan
400 CFM exhaust fan
dehumidifier (17 liter)

Any suggestions on how to reduce the humidity in the flower room? is it possible that the room that I'm getting fresh air from isn't large enough (about 10 x 14') also in the basement?

thats wayyy too high in humidity as im sure u already know, in a larger room like that id suggest running the dehu and adding a small a/c just cuz it seems like u have to draw air in from the general area where the room is (basement)...id also cut out the intake fan all together and just run it as a negative air 100%...u dont need to blow any air in when ur pulling it in already...thats just IMO though....one thing u might noit take into conideration is that ur basement is always gonna be humid, if ur blowing any air in at all, its gonna be humid air...just run the exhaust and dehu, see what happens....i have a small cab inet i was experimenting with and i had high humidity as well...turned off the intake and humidity dropped 10% instantly...was 67% , just checked and its 44% now... :-)....the difference between ur set up and mine is size...in my cheesy little cabinet i run these tiny dehumidifier bags called "damp-rid" from home depot, do they work?...i think so because it has a small pouch conmnected to it and it fills up with water and then i throw it away...does it do wonders?..probably not,m thats why id run the dehu since urs is bigger...either way!...good luck!...IMG_20110326_103818.jpg
