New Light Setup

Ok so this morning I woke up to my 250 m/h had died. Ballast I believe. So instead of waiting on a new one I went to the hardware store and bought 2 fixtures with 2 daylight t12 at 1025 lumens and 2 sunshine t12 at 875 lumens.

What do you think?

It'll have to do, yeah? It's gonna be a BIG change for your plants to go from the MH at whatever lumens output versus fluoros, but you can't just let them be with no light at all.

Yea, would it be a good system to keep? I can go back to m/h but with the cost and the amount of heat i dont know if i want to go back.

It's what I'm using for veg, and the plants are growing too fast (and having problems because of it I think, lack of penetration, and my lack of experience growing Mary indoors). I know that fluoros can be mixed pretty darn bright, I used to grow hermatypic corals and a giant clam species under them. Normal output, too.

That won't help if he's right and the problem is with the ballast :-S

The fluorescent tubes will work, I've only done one grow and it was under those. Personally I would have gone with cfls though because you can focus the light on the plants better.
