new grower

I'm new at this and have a couple of questions. Of the carbon filters with a 6" collar, which is the most efficient and the best price. If I were to consider LED lights, whic would be the best for 6 plants???

i ended up building my own. total build cost was about 110.00. but its a monster filter. 6" inlet, 8"Dx24"L with 125oz of premium activated charcoal inside. i couldnt make heads or tails at all the various filters available that would suit my 4x4x7' sealed tent needs, so i followed a DIY and made my own. it took me about 2hrs to build. and alot of them were very costly, as was mine which the charcoal can be easily replaced (23.00 for 100oz of charcoal). not sure if this help you out or not. lights dont have any bearing on a filter, just the plants, as those are the only things that put off the odor. another thing to consider is room size and fan cfm. im running a 440cfm fan, not a booster fan. so the fan and filter should work together and not against each other. too small of a fan and it wont evacuate the air thru the carbon filter. too big of a fan and you'll blow the filter to shit from the pressure from the fan.

I'm currently growing 4 plants in a meter squared area, I use a UFO I ordered from the states it's a 180 watt one, cause where I live in the UK it's also cold I use a 250 watt hps too. It depends how big your grow area is. Do you want a led for veg then switch to hps for flower? I've found using both in my grow area at the same time was better. Check out the UFO lights though, expensive but worth it in my opinion

imo leds suck...they cost more up front and they like to stop working...
also i have only used phresh filters...they seem to work well...

I've been using the same 6" x 28" phresh filter for over 2 years and it still scrubs the smell. Filter has been used 24/7 for 2 years straight. I also vouch for phresh's quality. it costs more but is completely worth it considering the longevity of the unit and peace of mind.
