New grower...opinions please?

Hello all! This is my first post on this forum, but I have been watching the community for sometime and taking in as much information as possible.

I have recently ordered a Secret Jardin Darkstreet 2.5 ds60 with 24"x24"x56" dimensions. Now this is my first grow ever so I am very excited about this. But with such small dimensions I had some concerns and questions to inquire about. Also keep it mind i am looking for maximum yield.

First question is pot size. Should i plant 1 seed per small pot or big pot? Or multiple seeds in a big pot? I am going to use this tent for their entire life cycle. If multiple plants would you suggest 2 3 or 4 (If rule of thumb is one baby per square foot)

Second question is.. Id 400watt hps too strong for this size? I have not purchased any lights yet but upon doing my research it seems hps is a very good choice. If I do use a 400watt should i implement a cool tube? If so then could someone please give me a quicl breakdown of how to set it up?

Third question is about scrogging. In a tent with these dimensions how high from the base would u recommend putting my chicken wire?

People generally plant one seed in a small pot each and then transplant to larger pots once the plant gets older/bigger. That's to encourage root growth and to sort out issues with over/under watering. It's normal for growers to pop seeds in solo cups, then transplant to a medium sized pot and finally move the plant to it's final destination before flowering, although I once planted a seed in a 20l pot and nothing bad really happened. It's better to establish a good root zone that stretches out to the sides rather than grow down. Planting multiple seeds in a pot is not a good idea, plants just like animals compete for minerals, water, nutrients and air. Better to have seperate mediums for each seed (if growing in soil).

400 Watt seems like a good idea, although it could be generating too much heat for such a small grow area. I cannot really say though, I have a wardrobe more or less the same dimensions of your tent and a 400 watt would be impossible to use (because I cannot fit a cool tube in). However if you got a cooltube installed with a correct fan then you would be good to go. As for setting it up, there are lots of tutorials on the internet. Basically it's like this: intake hole --> ducting ---> cooltube --> ducting --> fan ---> (optional carbon filter to remove impurities) --> outtake hole.

Scrog nets can be placed as low as possible from the top of the pot, although in degrees of reason. Normally people just leave enough space to be able to do regular maintenance eg. watering, trimming etc. I'd say 30cm is enough? Just check out pictures of srog grows to get a general idea.

Well that's something I cannot fully answer. It depends on quite a few factors. What's your goal? Do you want to grow for yourself or to sell? (you don't have to answer that question don't worry). It's no problem growing five plants but when harvest time comes you suddenly have a shitload of weed you have nothing to do with and it then becomes a problem. Also trimming can get very tedious and tiring after a while with a lot of plants. More plants consume more nutrients, so keep that in mind as well.

Unless of course you're wondering how much plants will be efficient for you grow space, that's something different. Depends on your reflector and pots size for instance. In my 48cmx59cmx160cm wardrobe I can hardly fit in a 15l round pot and a 18l rectangular one.
For instance you can grow a lot of plants (SOG) in smaller containers or one big motherfucker in a huge one.
Maybe someone more experienced can chime in and suggest a number.
