Hi all
posted for the first time a week or so ago and was planning on setting up a 4x4 tent in the basement with a 630w CMH light but things have changed and I don't think that it is a secure enough location so moving it to a less desirable area - a spare 2nd floor bedroom and downsizing to a 3x3 size tent, The basement would be great with am ambient temp of only 60f 24/7/365 but too many people go through there....
The bedroom the tent will go in has an ambient temp that can range from a low of 65f at night in the winter or as warm as 78-80f in the summer days with the a/c off. generally ranges on a daily basis around 68-77f.
Because of the higher ambient temps and I will have NO ability to add additional cooling such a portable a/c in the tent or anything I'll have to ditch the CMH light idea (was really dying to try one out after all the reading and research i did! ) because I'm sure it will raise the tent temps too high.
Looking into LED lights I discovered Timber lights and their 4Vs with the Vero 29 COBS looks like it could work. I know NOTHING about this stuff, still learning here, so hoping the Timber would have a reduced heat output enough for me to keep temps in a reasonable range.
Any 4VS users here that can tell me what their temp increase was in their tent from just the light?
(Please, I'm NOT trying to start any kind of LED light wars here but I CAN'T go with any type of blurple light - they may work just fine, i accept that, but I can't get myself to buy one and can't stand seeing purple when I want to look in on my babies! I can only go with a full spectrum white light unit, please no wars or treeing to change my mind on that one area..thanks you)
Also, was curious about my ventilation system. STEALTH is key so noise and smell MUST be contained and not exist. I know a 3x3x6.6 isn't a lot a cf3 but was looking at a 6" fan that is suppose to be really quiet, was wondering if anyone had experience with it? here is a link
sorry, i wanted to link but can't - too new of a member. fan i'm looking at is a AC Infinity Cloundline 6" inline fan rated at 391cfm and supposably very quest, DC so less power to run, and full controller.
was going to use it with either one of these unless someone can recommend t better. money IS an issue and i'd rather spend less than more but also know a few pennies saved now for cheapness pays back worst later on...... if a less expense or better option exists for less I'm more than open to hearing it and definitely please let me know if there is a functional flaw in the system i'm missing - this is all new to me. I'm basing the large filter size on research that said the larger the filter the better compared to the fan as a larger filter gives more time for the filter to work for smell control - i don't want a lot of loud fan noise or wind noise either so hopefully wont need to add an inline muffler....or a muffling box for the fan!
was looking at a CAN 600cfm 6" filter or a Phreash 6" inline filter of 500cfm
to start i'm going to use 5gal DWC buckets and grow Autos. will eventually move to photo's later on but autos will get me started and let me get my medicine quicker as i keep learning to grow.
any and all feedback or opinions are welcome!
