New grower, CFL Rubbermaid- Feedback needed!

Hey guys!

So this is my first grow, and I built a little unit based on a couple DIY projects on the internet. I just wanted some feedback into what I did wrong/right! I plan on adding a second tub on top of this one once the plants get to that point.

The lights are sitting on screws drilled into the back of the tub, the lights come right off, easily moveable, and I will have screws all the way up, at different heights, so they can be adjusted according to plant height.

I have 2- 42w 6500 and 2- 26w 2700K CFL's- Do I have enough light? (for 2 plants)

A 120mm fan on the top left, and a passive intake on the bottom right, also with a small Desk fan. Thermometers are on the way!

So yeah! Just wanted to make sure I got everything in order before I start growing, Feedback is appreciated!

i havent grown indoor before, but from what ive heard rubbermaids dont work very well to grow in. plants double or triple in size when they flower, their most likely gunna get to tell, you can try LSTing,SCROG, topping or something but still i dont think its enough room heigth wise

sorry for the multiple posts. but i was thinking if you go 12/12 from seed or if your using clones just go straight into 12/12, and lst, scrog or whatever you choose, it MIGHT work, just dont expect alot of yeild

looks good. How do you plan on adding the second tote to it though?

Just cut open the lid of the bottom one, throw the second tub on top and cut out the bottom! Obviously a little more fine-tuning than that, but thats the rough idea :) Nothing is attached to the lid at the moment, so it shouldnt be hard to move things around.

Is there anything I can do to speed up flowering? just so they dont get too big, I plan on growing Northern Lights, which is apparently a shorter plant?

I'm always curious about small, stealth grows so I'll be watching your progress. Don't get discouraged, but most of the journals I go through end up moving to a bigger space with an HPS. I'm a noob. Started with plans for a small box, but eventually decided on my closet. It looks like you did your homework pretty well though. So soldier on. And if you have to use the whole closet or throw em outside every day during flower, it'll just mean more yeild.

For sure, Its kind of a learning experience for me, so Ill see if I'm really hurting for space before I do anything with my closet! Thanks for watching :) Seeds should be coming in a week or so!

Im getting a pretty solid 88 degress in my tub.. Is that too hot?

If it is, should I maybe take out some of my lights? I plan on growing 3-4 Lowryder #2 plants.

Thanks :eyesmoke:

I'm a noob like I said, but I think thats too hot. I've been told a few different ranges but it seems like 70-80 is a good one. My Green Crack clones seem to love it when it's 78 for a while. But I bet you'll get some high humidity in there, which I've heard is good for younglings. I wouldn't know since I bought some clones at like 4 inches or more.

Did a little reno while I wait for my White Widow Fems to arrive!

I put together the top tub, I wont be using it just yet, but once it gets to that point, its just a matter of moving the lights and moving the fan!
Also still need to mylar the first lid, thats why the light is so bright there!

As you can also see, I turned an exhaust vent (or atleast what I THINK is an exhaust vent) and turned it into a carbon filter. Anyone think that this will not work? It came with just a vent at the bottom, but i covered it with a vent filter, so that should keep the carbon in there, but allow the air to flow.

Let me know if you guys have ANY suggestions, should be starting very soon!
