New Grow Room

So I'm starting out, my grow room is 6 feet long and 42 inches wide and tall. Ive ordered seeds from attitude seed bank and will attempt to grow all feminized seeds in my room. I have vacummed and cleaned the room, then put up a plastic sheeting everywhere covering the whole area, walls, floors and cieling to prevent against mold and anything else theat could harm the plants. With the area I have, I have already layed out 10 1 gallon buckets and there is at least 6 inches between each bucket. I dont plan to allow the plants to grow very tall due to the limited room height, I plan to vegitate the plants till they reach a height of about 14 inches, then i will have to flower them. I plan to try and top them, I'll probably try it with about half of them after the third or fourth week if they are still short enough to be vegging. I currenly have two 4ft two bulb fluorsecent light fixtures with cool 40 watt residential bulbs hung up. All together its 160 watts.

I will be adding lights to it before I start, I will either get a 150 watt hps lamp or i will add another fluorescent fixture. The only thing I'm worried about is the heat a 150 watt hps will generate. The room will have a tall aloha breeze fan oscillating but the ventilation is poor at best, I have a outlet but it can only be open at certain times and as for the main enterance, that too can only be opened at certain times. I will be able to get fresh air in the room but I am more concerned about the heat build up.

Also, would it be okay to run this electricty off of two normal wall outlets? One Fan, 160 watt of fluorescent and 150 watt hps?

Do you guys also think if it would be a good idea if i were to get the hps, to use it through the whole cycle for the increased lights, I know it can cause stretching and due to my limited height that may be bad but what do you guys think?

Hey Herer, my grow space is simular to yours except I have a little more verticle space. The amount of detail you put into your ventilation will result in the "happiness" of your plants. They are living things and will do a lot better with a constant supply of fresh air.

I dont think an occilating fan would be much help in the grow room once the air becomes saturated with heat. By then it will just be blowing hot air around.

Pics of your grow space in relation to the closest source of air or even an exhuast point?

The more thought and effort you put into this project will reflect upon your results. If you're lacking verticle space its going to be tough to fit a HID light in the mix. Maybe an LED grow light? I've seen some reults from some of the members here on RIU and it looked successful to me for the most part.

Hope that helped, good luck.
