New Grow room...What type of lights should i use?

Whats up everyone...I just got done building my new grow room...only problem is that im tired of using flour. lights but i dont kno if i have room to use a different type of light can anyone help me......the room is about 4 n half feet tall about 6 feet long and width around 2 feet....Any Help or suggestions?

go w/ a 250w hps kit or even 400w.. should work out fine.. does that area have a place to exhaust for heat?

no but i should make one some how some way...how far do phs light have to be from the top of the plants?

Thats a small grow space. HID will create a lot of heat. You will have to invest in a nice ventillation setup to go HID in there. A cooltube would be your best option for a fixture. But honestly IMO, its gonna be a headache getting the temps down. Get a bigger grow area or just stick with floros and cfl's

Im no expert on floro's or cfls. But If I had to grow without HID, I think I would go with a t5 fixture vs cfl's. But like I said, Im no expert there, havent done any research on the subject. Ive seen some nice t5 fixtures at HTG. Heres a link for ya to a nice floro light. High Tech Garden Supply
