I have a 27 gallon tote full of high quality trim and small bud material to process. I have been using it to make very strong butter that I melt in a pan before bed and put it right down the hatch. Sleep like a baby. However, the processing time to make the butter is an absolute bitch. I had to find a faster way. Ice hash is the most efficient way without using solvents. I saw a lot of crappy little portable washing machines converted into a "bubble hash machine." They're expensive and complete trash. I'd rather buy a cheap new full sized cheap wash machine for $500 and know the dam thing isn't going to break. I digress. Here's my setup. Running the first batch this weekend.

The material will be frozen in the deep freeze for 24 hours prior to processing. I will process as much as I can in the 220 micron bag tied off to prevent the material from escaping the work bag into the water. 1/3 filled with ice. 1/3 filled with water. I will work each bag of material for 15 minutes with the boat oar. Remove the bag. Open the drain valves. Smoke a bowl while the water drains from the trash can tap valves into the 5 gallon filtration bucket. The 5 gallon bucket has a 1" hole drilled in the side at the bottom. All waste water will drain into the sewer drain. Repeat with the same material 2-3 times as needed for additional yield.

It didn't make much sense to me to work the material inside of the work bags. They're really just a filter. Why not use it that way? Agitate in a larger container then drain the water with your resin glands through the filters. The water is just waste after running through the filters, so it drains out the bottom of the bucket. Collect your hash at the end of your processing and separate them by quality / micron. I'll let you all know how it goes. This is my first cycle doing this. I plan to buy a commercial ice maker to keep in my basement just for bubble hash processing if this goes over well. Fuck hauling ice
