New colder temp our cannabis plants can survive

Welp I didnt think it would ever happen but ever since the middle almost end of March I have bought bags of weed through normal people I know because indiana would probably be the last state in history to approve medical and medicinal use of our so beloved mary jane. an some of the higher top notch bags I have bought back in that time frame the guys must've been sleepin puttin one of my bags together because he left 3 good seeds in the bottom an forgot ta takem out because I grabbed em up an paper towel soaked em1000% an was able to sprout in less than a day using normal bottled water and placed the three in their final resting spots right at the end of March which here in Indiana the start of this season started a warm spell a lil early which gave gave my babies time ta com up a little bit. But as the days moved on in This wonderful mysterious month of April the days took a turn for the worst droppin temps back down in the 30's. An as of right now the coldest night weve had here in town was probably 36 the first few nights hit so I thought my loved ones were gone. But nope they r still standing strong an lookin good as ever. An as of right now @ 5:58 EST I jus got back to my new home from where I have my babies hid an they r still alive an kickin an the temp stand at 37. So the brutal cold temps weve been having has not been cold enough to kill em. Which I totally read beforehand that temps in the 50s an colder should damage or shock them an kill them. Must as crazy as it is to say even when I first put each of them in the temps were already hittin in the mid ta low 40s so I already had my doubts about them an almost gave up on them an sat them back in the corner of the yard an was gonna do somethin else. But I forgot about em an gave em a few days an as crazy an cold as it was for those sprouts being in the cold air and in a cold accidentally put in metal 5 gallon bucket. But actually it was smarter on my end because of it being metal an as cold as it was getting at night an still does. The sun hits the black painted metal bucket an warms up the dirt really good I guess cuz that bad boy first hits the sun around 10 or 11 an when that happens it's basically stays in the sun all day damn near or til about 8 or when the sun is almost done. So when it drops down to the mid ta high 30s like it has been the past week the warmth from the whole day of the sun exposure helped keep the root warm at night. Idk if these r indica or sativa but whatever they r really damn good an cant die for nothing. An I'm thinkin the bag I bought an pulled those seeds out I'm 80% positive it was regular Platinum OG kush. I've always had a green thumb but always failed with males every single time. Oh an to help keep my babies nice an healthy an keep a good eye on the ph levels I use deer park bottled water. I started usin that from the get go tho it's pretty good plus the natural soil here in my area an neighborhood have good rich almost like clay but it isnt. I filled the whole bucket up with reg dug from the back yard dirt. But not once did I pack or push the dirt down with my hand. I also threw between 10 ta 20 holes in the bottom of the bucket because for one our dirt hold water really good so it would drown them so that's why I jus light sprinkled the dirt in the bucket an left em in there planted an forgot about them for 5 days exactly an when I went to set up shop for more seeds I found in weaker bags I checked on my well thought dead plants but it turned out I jus planted em a lil deeper than I should've because after all I had ta do it when none in the houses around me were awake. But they r doin good as ever so if you live in Illinois or here arond the midwest an had doubts about the crazy weather we get year after year an stalled on wantin ta start you own lil outdoor gig like I did. Jus take the helpful hint like I used when no one will help shelter your bed for a minimum grow like I have 3 wonderful plants goin on. Jus use nothin but filtered or purified water an gettin a few nightcrawlers thrown in there for fertilization since I'm not using the approved good grow dirt silt or other top notch favorites but used normal dirt like I always do but never had seeds this good so I'm jus anxious ta wait what these bad boys are gonna start ta look like in my wonderful birth month of July. As well as wanting to get a early start like I did without even thinkin at first but as long as the spot you out them in hold sun just about all day an lay the dirt loose almost all the way up to the top of the bucket but keep at least 5 or 6 inches or so because of the lower level of planting well help build a solid stock to battle wind an storms like my plants went through. I'm also not growing to sell or make alot of money. I'm tired of payin money for the shit so I'm takin the biggest risk of all time an growin em muh damn self. But going by my already found out results of what I normally do everything I mentioned about the whole process is concrete an a good way to start early but using a metal bucket an when frost is mentioned it wont hurt ta throw a custom thick plastic blanket made with a bunch of popsicle sticks an tape. An manage to make one a handy usable portable greenhouse. Even if temps are promised to hit the frosty mark an colder they are well good to survive using my method. Also for people wanna do some testing an tuning with cloning jus wait til the plant is a month or two up an goin strong. You would then make the cut in a angle way like the end of a caprice sun straw with a good angle on it. Also whichever leaf you pick which has to be cut from the mainbranch. Jus simply put it into its final rating place an then within months you will have you own cloned second generation bud brewin an might be way way better than from where it first originated from. Also I have a few pic to add to show how good they have been doin in these cold nights weve been having with every night being in the mid to high 30s. So the pics I'm posting is visual proof that if set up right with the home made greenhouse an the metal bucket can prove that our plants can take a better beatin than normal. An only thing I kept in kind was keepin em watered. This midwest sun ain't no joke an can burn an kill the plants if they r left out all day in the hot sun without spritzing up the leaves with a small finely mist spray bottle every once in a while throughout the day will save em. An growing normal outdoor plants are far more harder ta keep up with considering many of a few factors that could easily destroy ur plant from most flying insect pest ththaththat love eatin up the leaves an even deer for the most part of outdoor growing Ops in any wooded areas where dear couldbe lurking around. But other than those fools an keep ya baby drdrinkin purified water I bid you good luck an happy growingb

I didn't read that wall of text but from the pictures the only thing I have to add is that you should have put them in their own pots with decent soil.
