Looks great! Very much reminds me of my initial CFL grow. I would recommend supplementing the spectrum in your flower cab; I always had best luck with a 3:1 ratio of 2700K:6500K.

I would also recommend placing additional bulbs below the canopy in the flower cab. Try hanging a couple bulbs in between plants or between taller colas - this minimizes restrike and noticeably increases bud size/trich production.

Really healthy looking plants - keep it up!

This is one of the best CFL grows I have seen posted on RIU ever. Great job! You will love the FF soil/Technaflora combo. I use the Happy Frog 4:1 with inert perlite. I start in 4"pots for 2-3 weeks. Transplant to 3gal bags and start the nutes 3 weeks later at 1/2 strength for the first 2 feeds. I do the feed, water, water, feed schedule. So in effect they get no nutes except what is in the soil for 6 weeks. I have had no deficiencies or over feed issues at all.

Good Luck, and +rep for taking the leap into farming!

Thanks for the input!! I cant put anymore cfls in my flower cabinet because it gets too hot. Maybe after I put in a much needed vent fan. As far as the nute change...Im just not getting the bud size, tightness or thc level that I want from miracle grow....think its fine for vegging though

Thanks for the nice comments.Trying to get perpetual going first. Im putting a plant to flower every 2 weeks. After I get a few ounces saved up, Id like to try sog or scrog grow. Want to figure out my 2 favorite strains, and then just concentrate on dialing them in. My first cloning experience was very bad,,,,,of my first 6 clones, only one survived, major set back. I bought a 8 site Daisy cloner and thinking half wouldnt make it, I cloned more than my limit and every one made it. So, I ended up giving 5 away. A friend checked out my cloner and made his own that worked fine. Aeroponics is definitely the way to go. I shouldnt need to clone again for a couple of months, by then I'll know which strains Im keeping. Thnks again for the comments.

Anyone know about technaflora nutrients in soil? I hear youre supposed to use the nutes every third watering. Should I cut it in half? If I cut it in thirds could I nute them during every watering? thanx for all your help so far.

man, it is always good to start off at 1/4 strength anything, esp. if the plants are still young, and its their first feeding...now if they are comming off one fertilizer for another, at about the same NPK ration, then by all means feed as you were previously...go easy on any bloom boosters. never give them more then half recommended on the bloom boosters, otherwise your just asking for problems...on the other hand, some strains can handle more of this or more of that...but just as a general rule of thumb. also it depends on what size pot you have that determines how often you water per week...i use 3 gal. pots, and water every 3rd. day, and fertilize every other watering. my schedules is like, feed, water, water, feed.

I think I'll do the water, water, feed thing at half strength with the technaflora. Should be getting my fox farms in tomarrow. And heres the latest with my grow.....the infamous hermi. Had a Durban poison that was do to harvest in two weeks that hermied toward the bottom. A few clusters were already open. Maybe in haste, I chopped it down. I pulled the plants out of the flower room and cleaned it well. Hope I got it in time, but with the fan in there blowing away, I just keep my fingers crossed. I had 4 different strains in there and as much as I'd like to name my own strain, it's much too early with my limited grow knowledge...lol. So, my question is......Could I have just cut the pollen sacks off and watched it carefully for the next two weeks. Or was it too much of a risk and I did the right thing by cutting it early?.....Thanks and continue to pay close attention to your plants. I know I will.

Took some more pics today. Unfortunately, I grabbed the scissors before I grabbed the camera. So no pics of my first hermi....lets see if I can load them

when those plants flower you are going to need a shit ton more of lights. the 100watt equilvent doesnt mena much.... pretty much you have 8 23 watt daylight cfls right now. it wouldnt hurt to get some more.

errrrrrr I ust saw your pics and your plants look great. I have 8 cfl bulbs on my 1 plant. and you have looks like a lot of plants under 8 cfl bulbs. maybe Im just paranoid about how much lighting I have.

how many plants do you have????? wtf looks like you have 6 or 8 plants under 8 100watt equivalant cfl bulbs???? really. wtf I thought you need AT LEAST 100CFL watts per plant! ???

Theres about 12 under those veg lights. there growing. I though about getting more lights, but there growing almost too fast under those lights. They cant be over 24 in including the pot or they wont fit in the flowering cabinet. I have 9 bulbs in flowering and would add more but I have no way of getting the heat out. 9 bulbs is 83 degrees any more and it goes over 90.Definatley need a vent fan...but no $

Are you using 2 cabs or did u divide one? trying to get my own perpetual grow going, but don't know if that's gonna happen

Yes......Im using two cabs.......both with cfls....every 2 weeks I put a plant in to flower and take one out....not that bad a deal but being my flower cabinet is small, I have to keep the plants small....so small yields. Wish I could put in 4 at a time....but .....no room12-20-11 grow 001.jpg12-20-11 grow 006.jpg12-20-11 grow 008.jpg12-20-11 grow 011.jpg12-20-11 grow 014.jpg12-20-11 grow 016.jpg12-20-11 grow 017.jpgHeres some pics of the flower cabinet, my 200 lb. malamute doing his "guard" thing, the afghan bullrider in the 16 oz. cup is an experiment Im doing. It was out of the cloner for 3 days before I put it in flower, so far Im thinking I should have waited a week
