Needing advice from someone handy

So this is what I got going on for a closet grow, But I have 2 big issues I need to deal with. Ventilating and temperature. My temps are not terribly bad with the door open, around 85 degrees. But my major issue is getting the electrical cord to be a little more stealth than it is now, without causing too much damage too the door (I am renting). Anything I could do that would look normal?

I just want to be able to close it if the need arises, it can stay open for temperature issues.

Here's what I would do:

Drill a small hole through the trim piece just below the casing like this

Cut the wire, run the wire through the hole, and splice it on the other side. Solder it, and use wire wrap (the type that shrinks with heat. Wire nuts aren't for repairing extension cords.

Then get a piece of wiremold to somewhat hide the black wire running up the wall.

GreenCross has a good suggestion, but may I ask a couple of questions? First what are on the other side of those little closet walls ? Are there any electrical outlets on those walls? If there is you might easily just put in a new outlet inside. I don't know how .handy you are or electrical. Just a thought.
