Need suggestions for apartment closet grow

Hey, so I'm on the bottom floor of my building, I plan on growing in these 2 closets in a small 1 bedroom apartment. The thing that concerns me the most is smell and ventilation. The first closet is 2' deep by 3' the another 3' where the shelves are. I plan on using this closet as the veg room whereas it's very close to the entrance and is in my kitchen. The second closet is also 2' deep but 4' wide and they're both 7' high so I know that won't be a problem. The white cylinder you see in the second closet is my water heater. I plan on using the second closet as my flower bc it's in my bedroom and there's a window nearby. But how am I going to ventilate it and keep the smell down?

I'm on a very limited budget. I have a 600w hid but will only be able to spend about $100 a month on this setup and plan on starting next April, so I have to get this setup for under a grand. I was thinking tent, do you have any suggestions for a good affordable tent, or do you think there's a better way. Drill holes in my bedroom wall is certainly an option I'm a crackfiller by trade so.....

this is easy

1 smell control u need 2 things
1A a carbon filter .......it hangs in the area where the plants are growing sucking the hot air from the top drawling in cold air from the bottom (this makes a negative pressure meaning the smell is contained)
1B it is a called Zen living air filter https://www.ebay.com/b/ZEN-Living-Air-Purifiers/43510/bn_7888462
it is a air filter with a Ozone gen on it ........when ever u open the doors (breaking the negative pressure) the smell will go into the house ......when u shut the doors u turn this thing on and run it for 20 mins the ozone gen will make it and kill the smell

i smoke alot of weed and my landlord has a good sniffer does not like me smoking in the apartment .......the ozone gen they can not smell anything .....i mean nothing i run it for like 2 hours a day when i leave the place smell prefect

if your keeping it sealed you need a dehumidifier or your wall will be dripping condensation. get a co2 generator of some type. with no air exchange the plants will quickly use up available co2

he is renting an apartment. he cant just go putting holes on walls or doors. even if he owned the place. holes in hallway doors or walls make it not so stealth a grow. inline fans are loud even the vortex s-line (high end fan made to be silent) you could hear on the other side of the door. if you use the ozone gen read up on it first. they work great but are damaging to the lungs. defiantly not something you want running in the bedroom. you cant just run it a few hours a day. in flower it dosnt stop stinking because the lights are off. you gave to run that ozone generator full time. turn it off for an hour your apartment will smell like your garden.

are you sure you cant put a lock on your bedroom door and run a small tent. a 3x3 tent dosnt take up much room put it in a corner and it can be hidden behind a clothing screen. the lock is easy to explain. you see on the news all the time landlords and maintance people arrested or stealing from renters. no reason any maintance should ever need in your room so a lock shouldn't be a problem.

Yes that definately is an option. There's an access panel to the bathroom plumbing in the bedroom wall and a maintenance guy has already had to go in my bedroom. No foreseeable problems tho and they always let me know at least an hour in advance before they come so worst case I could dismantle it and move them to my neighbors. But honestly I smoked a j with one guy and the appliance guy I know and I know he wouldn't say anything.

Let me know if you go tent or not. If so i can give some tips on setup. I manage a grow store and talk setup and lights all day every day

yah u can

u measure the door and take all the info down ......take it off the hinges and put it somplace safe

go to home depot buy a door pre cut and mount hang the door do anything u want to it .....when it comes time for inspection or u are leaving take the new door down and put back the orginal in perfect condistion avoiding any trouble

as for the lvl of OZONE .....if u were to sit in the closet and huff the oz this unit puts out on max u might do some damage .......but using it as a over all general house/apartment filter u have nothing to worry about ...the fan does 400cfms the amount of ozone it puts out is under 500ppm with the air moving that fast the low lvl of ozone and over all volume of area in the house with ozone short life span u need like 10 of them going before would be dangerous

You're on the bottom floor. You have pretty much zero chance of pulling it off unless all of your neighbors are complete idiots that have been lobotomized.

Buy your shit on the street. It's far cheaper than what you would have to do to make that grow work, plus jail, plus loss of all your possessions, plus legal fees when you get caught.

Was thinking as i showered door idea may not be so good. Landlord or literaly anyone else comes over withought calling first your screwed. Ya cant have them wait 20 min while you switch doors. Then have to hide said door all with people outside your door. Probably not the best idea.

All of my neighbors are potheads who smoke in their units luckily. And seriously I haven't smoked street in over 2 years trust me you wouldn't smoke 5 he street around here either it's garbage. I smoke in my bedroom all day everyday so as long as I can keep the smell to a decent level my only concern would be a maintenance guy I haven't met yet. I don't have a landlord either it managed by a property management company in town.

Not worried about jail either I live in Canada it's only a fine for small grows.

by law before they come into your place u have to have notice

the only reason they are allowed to enter your place
1 fire and they are making sure u are clear
2 gas leak in the building
3 they hear someone crying for help in your apartment
4 water leaking from yours into others
5 odd smell and they have not seen u in about 2 weeks


everything else they need your ok and they have to give u a written notice for inspection

if u are growing inside and u are worried about it
do the trick with the door i told yah .......ok they givce u notice they are coming in u tell them in 3 days u are open they can come do what they got too
it gives u a 2 days to get a Uhaul truck and move the plants and other things into there during the night (make sure u park it under shade ) .......they come in they see a clear clean place no damages later that night u move them back in (should cost u less then 100 bucks as u are not putting miles on it )

when u put the plants in there make sure u tie them down so when u park the truck they do not fall over ( i used rope wraped around the planters then used the wood slats on the walls to tie it off )

Good point. Still think i would use a tent. Easier to hide. Not everyone is going to give you a 2 day notice before they come over. Your never going to safley have anyone ever over. I have friends but none of them know whare i get my dank nugs from. It would suck if whenever someone wanted to stop by... Girls included i had to say no. Tents are easier to ventilate and keep clean. Thats just how i see it though. The door idea is very good. I just think it would be better if it wasnt near your front door.
